zakázanÝovoce Celebrate 10 Years of Díky vám! with a New Version of Někdo jako ty

Czech rock band zakázanÝovoce are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their album Díky vám!. To mark the occasion, they have released a new version of the song Někdo jako ty, featuring a more modern sound and, for the first time ever, an official music video. One of the leading roles in the video is played by actress Veronika Macková. Both the single and the video arrived on October 2, with the band set to kick off their anniversary 10 let Díky vám! tour three weeks later.
Originally released on the 2016 album Díky vám!, Někdo jako ty has gradually become one of zakázanÝovoce's most popular tracks. After a decade, the band decided to record the song again and give it a sound that reflects their current musical direction.
Revisiting an older track is not entirely new territory for zakázanÝovoce. Their album Díky vám! already featured a re-recorded version of Genocida 2016, a remake of the band's very first song. "Doing a remake once every ten years is probably becoming a bit of a tradition. I dare say Někdo jako ty wasn't exactly a standout single when it first appeared on Díky vám! ten years ago. Over time, though, the song found its own audience, and fans asked us several times to play it live. The last time we performed it was during our 2017 tour. This autumn, everyone will finally get to hear it again – and as a bonus, they'll get a brand-new sound, too," says frontman Jarda 'Yaris' Sládeček.
The song has received a makeover not only in the studio but visually as well. The music video for Někdo jako ty 2026 was filmed aboard RegioPanter trains operated by České dráhy during regular service between Prague-Bubny and Kralupy nad Vltavou. Actress Veronika Macková plays one of the central characters in the story.
Yaris adds: "The idea of shooting a video on a train came from our longtime director, Martin Mol. It was a new experience for both him and us. We filmed while the trains were in regular service, so we had to stick to the timetables and follow all the safety instructions. In the end, everything worked out great. What I enjoyed most was working with Veronika – she's a fantastic actress and an absolute professional. We had to portray a relationship gradually developing, with a little innocent flirting thrown in. Verča guided me throughout the shoot, and at times, my blushing was genuinely real. It was quite a ride!"
The video was made with the support of České dráhy and Správa železnic, as well as through the Vyrobeno s OSA grant programme.
The release of the new version marks the beginning of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of Díky vám!, which will soon move to the concert stage. On October 23, 2026, zakázanÝovoce will hit the road for their 10 let Díky vám! tour, playing ten shows across the Czech Republic. Fans can look forward to a special setlist created specifically to celebrate the album's anniversary. The band will also introduce their new drummer during the tour. Joining them at selected dates will be guests Totální nasazení, Konflikt, Žádnej stres, Papír sklo plasty and Exni!to.
The full list of tour dates is available on the band's official website. Tickets for individual shows are available through GoOut. And if you missed our previous tour announcement, now's the perfect time to catch up.
