When the World Burns: KREATOR unleash their new album Krushers Of The World

Thrash metal legends KREATOR prove that even after four decades they have no intention of slowing down. Their sixteenth studio album Krushers Of The World is out now, accompanied by a title-track video set in a crumbling, post-apocalyptic Berlin. The vision of a world on the brink of collapse perfectly mirrors the album's themes – anger, chaos, but also a strange kind of hope found in music powerful enough to tear down walls.

The album was released on January 16 via Nuclear Blast and recorded at Sweden's Fascination Street Studios under the guidance of the proven producer Jens Bogren, who previously worked with KREATOR on Phantom Antichrist and Gods Of Violence. The sound is brutal, precise, yet surprisingly alive – not a sterile production, but a record that breathes with the sweat of rehearsal rooms and concert stages.

According to Mille Petrozza, the album took a long time to complete. The songs were written and rewritten over several years, went through detailed pre-production, and the band allowed themselves time to "live with the music" before finally closing the chapter. That patience gives Krushers Of The World its strength – this is not a mandatory entry in the discography, but a carefully crafted and confident attack. KREATOR avoid running on autopilot and prove that thrash can still sound current and relevant in 2026.

Lyrically, the album is dark, critical and uncompromising, yet it radiates a peculiar positive energy. Petrozza once again confirms that music should be a weapon, but also a driving force. This is not a nostalgic return to the old days – this is a band that still feels hungry.

KREATOR also have no intention of staying confined to the studio. A massive European tour with CARCASS, EXODUS and NAILS will kick off in spring 2026, followed by a U.S. run and major festival appearances. And if anyone doubted whether Mille still has something to say? Just put on this album.
