Vratko Rohoň from the band INEKAFE reveals his most heartfelt song. He dedicated the song "When Someone Leaves" to his grandparents. An emotional video clip was created for it.

Slovak pop-punk legend INEKAFE comes with a new song that goes straight to the heart. The new song Keď odchádza niektoje is the most personal work in the band's history to date. The music and lyrics were written by frontman Vratko Rohoň, who dedicated the song to his grandparents.
An extremely emotional video clip full of family memories and true emotions was created for it. It features Vratko's daughters and the most valuable car from his car collection - the iconic Čajka GAZ 13.
The new song was recorded at the LVGNC studio in Bratislava under the supervision of producer Marek Rakovický. The lyrics of the song capture a universal experience that each of us has experienced - the loss of a loved one. "It's the most personal song I've ever written. I dedicated it to my grandparents - people who shaped me and who I've carried in my heart my whole life. It's about trying to understand the fact that whether we want it or not, someone who has been by our side since birth will always leave us one day. Death is the only certainty we have in life - this truth is as old as humanity itself. And one day it will touch us too," explains Vratko Rohoň.
The video clip was shot in the summer in picturesque places in South Bohemia and carries a strong family and symbolic dimension. The main roles are played by Vratko's daughters Linda and Lenka, the great-granddaughters of the grandparents to whom the song is dedicated. "The plot of the clip is a mixture of intertwining memories, live scenes, breathtaking exteriors and interiors, and an effort to bring back the person who left us. Our family motif is also incorporated into it - I take my daughters to a mysterious place where they learn something about their past, right where their grandparents lived. At the end of the clip, I discover a photo of my grandparents in an old library. We used a real, almost century-old wedding photo of my grandparents. It was a great test of emotions," admits the frontman of the INEKAFE band.
The clip was created in collaboration with director Ondřej Urbanec from Prague, a long-time friend of the band, who also collaborated with INEKAFE on the video Sínus dopadu.
And as is tradition, this time a veteran from Vratko's car collection appears in the video - this time the legendary Čajka GAZ 13. The choice fell on it as a symbol of luxury and elegance of past times. "For this clip, I chose the most exclusive car I have in my collection. During the former regime, it was literally a mystical vehicle – an ordinary person could catch a glimpse of it for a few seconds on TV news at most. At a time when only small and weak cars were on the roads, the Chaika, with its 5.5-liter V8 engine, automatic transmission, electric windows and all the power steering, was a miracle from another universe. It was essentially a Soviet copy of the then American top-of-the-line – but with a number of its own improvements," revealed Vratko Rohoň. "It originally served at Prague Castle from 1975 to 1988 and transported the most important state visits. A few years ago, I managed to acquire it from a collector. There were about 30 of them in all of Czechoslovakia, but only a few have survived. It is estimated that out of the total number of 3,200 cars produced, there are barely a hundred of them in the world today."
INEKAFE celebrates 30 years and is preparing a Grand Finale tour
The year 2025 is special for INEKAFE, as the band celebrates 30 years on stage. The celebrations will culminate in the annual INEKAFE – 30 rokov Grand Finale CS Klub Tour, which will take place from December 2025 to February 2026 in 11 cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Fans can look forward to a special playlist that will combine the biggest hits with rare songs that the band has not played live for a long time, such as Déjà vu, Sínus dopadu or Roulette. The concerts in Bratislava and Prague will also be enriched by the string quartet, piano and choir Tirnavia.
"This year is special for us. We wanted to thank everyone who has been with us for these 30 years – fans, friends and families. The song Keď odchádza niekto is our personal thanks and memory of those who are no longer here, but remain with us in every note," adds Vratko Rohoň.
