Vojtaano Has Grown Up, But He’s Not Tamed. With His New Album Šťastnej, He Celebrates Perspective and Heads Out on His First Tour with a Full Band

Singer-songwriter, actor, and stand-up comedian Vojtěch Záveský, better known to fans under the pseudonym Vojtaano, is releasing his fourth studio album. The new record, titled Šťastnej, arrives in the first half of March and shows the artist in peak form - with his priorities sorted out, yet still armed with the same sharp sense of humor and knack for catchy choruses. The album's release will be accompanied by a March tour, during which Vojtaano will be backed by a full band for the first time - a powerhouse lineup made up of musicians from Fast Food Orchestra.
As a musician, Vojtaano has carved out a unique position thanks to lyrics that never hold back. After hits like "Budulínek vs. galantní jelen", "Nikdo", "Nestárnem", "Gangstafolk," and the football anthem "Lavina", he now returns with an album that feels like an open confession from a man who has learned to stop worrying about the things that don't really matter.
"Whenever someone used to ask me how I was doing, I'd say 'not bad' — even when things were actually great. I didn't want to jinx it. But now I know that good and bad times will always alternate, and when things are good, you should enjoy them. Don't be ashamed of it, don't be afraid to say it out loud. Precisely because it might not last forever. I have two beautiful and healthy children, an amazing wife, and a job I love. Right now, I'm simply happy," says Vojtaano about the album's title.
Musically, Šťastnej is the most diverse record in Vojtaano's discography so far. His traditional singer-songwriter style built around acoustic guitar is complemented by elements of rap, rock, drum and bass, and Latin influences. The production was largely shaped by Jacob Carl Růžička from Rooftop Studio, working in tandem with experienced producer Ondřej Žatkuliak.
The album is also rich in collaborations with notable figures from the Czech music scene. Among the guests is Ester Kočičková in the unconventional duet "Máma je nejvíc", while Zeller of Cocotte Minute appears in the nu-metal-flavored throwback "Vole co je". The single "Pray" features members of Fast Food Orchestra alongside Cocoman and Dr. Kary. Another guest is Mukas from Elektrïck Mann, who appears on the energetic track "Já na bráchu". The album closes with a surprising and sensitive interpretation of the hit "Je to blízko" by Michal David.
The album Vojtaano – Šťastnej was released on March 13, 2026.
The release is accompanied by a unique club tour that kicked off on March 13 in Brno. Fans who are used to seeing Vojtaano as a solo performer with just a guitar can expect a much bigger show this time. The backing band is made up of musicians from Fast Food Orchestra, promising energetic arrangements of both well-known hits and brand-new material. The setlist promises a cross-section of his entire catalog, including viral hits such as "Budulínek vs. galantní jelen", "Lavina" (the opening theme of the series Vyšehrad), and the current single "Konečně". The show will also feature Vojtaano's trademark stand-up interludes, seamlessly blending music with the roots of his stand-up comedy career.
You can listen to the album Šťastnej on all digital streaming platforms.
