Vlčtejn Once Again Taken Over by Punk, Metal and Pub-Style Anarchy

30/05/2026

The ruins of Vlčtejn Castle will once again transform into one of the wildest music venues in Western Bohemia on July 18, 2026. PRASOFEST enters its thirteenth edition and once again confirms its status as a cult multi-genre event that combines punk, metal, ska, crossover and pub rock in a unique open-air atmosphere.

The festival has long relied on a combination of well-known names from the Czech club scene, underground veterans and bands with a strong live reputation. This year's line-up perfectly reflects the slogan: "A traditional festival of non-traditional bands."

MORČATA NA ÚTĚKU will unleash their trademark concert chaos

The Brno-based crew Morčata na útěku have been one of the most distinctive phenomena of the Czech club scene for more than two decades. The band combines crossover, metal and parody versions of well-known hits into an absurd concert mix that audiences love. Their performances are not ordinary concerts but complete collective madness. Costumes, humor, heavy riffs and chaos beneath the stage are all part of the package.

SPS: Czech punk legends still going strong

Prague legends SPS are among the most important names in Czech punk. The band has been active since 1988 and still maintains powerful live energy as well as a strong social message. Frontman Zdeněk Růžička remains one of the icons of the domestic punk scene, and SPS concerts continue to prove why the band enjoys respect across multiple generations of fans.

COCOTTE MINUTE bring a crossover storm

Cocotte Minute are among the most distinctive crossover bands on the Czech scene. Their combination of nu-metal, hardcore, rapcore and modern rock works with tremendous intensity on stage. The band led by Martin Zeller is known primarily for its extremely energetic performances, and festival stages are their natural habitat.

HENYCH 666 and the darkness of Czech black/thrash metal

The HENYCH 666 project is led by Vlasta Henych, former bassist and vocalist of the legendary Törr. The band follows the traditions of classic Czech black/thrash metal, relying on a dark atmosphere, raw sound and powerful stage presence. Vlasta Henych remains one of the most significant figures in Czech metal history, and his performances still carry enormous strength.

ELEKTRÏCK MANN: alcorap chaos without limits

For years, Elektrïck Mann from Valašské Meziříčí have been breaking down the barriers between hip-hop, hardcore, punk and pure musical absurdity. They describe their style as "alcorap," and their concerts are legendary mixtures of humor, vulgarity and uncontrolled energy.

On festival stages they work flawlessly, regularly turning the crowd into one giant whirlwind of chaos.

DRIÁK, PUB KINGS, V3SKA and DUKLA VOZOVNA complete a powerful line-up

The festival will also feature the energetic punk rock of Driák, the pub atmosphere of Pub Kings, the ska energy of V3SKA, and the punk storm of Dukla Vozovna. It is precisely this combination of different genres and contrasting live energies that makes Prasofest one of the most distinctive underground summer events in the Plzeň Region.

A major advantage of Prasofest remains the unique setting beneath the ruins of Vlčtejn Castle. Fans return year after year not only for the music, but also for the relaxed atmosphere, camping opportunities and strong sense of community that make the festival truly special.

PRASOFEST VOL. 13 once again confirms why it has built such a strong reputation over the years. If you are looking for a festival without pretence, with an honest atmosphere, a beer in hand and bands that genuinely live for the stage, Vlčtejn will be the place to be on July 18.
