Visací Zámek in Peace: St. Nicholas Night When Punk Took Over

Punk legend Visací zámek returned to Uherské Hradiště on December 5, 2025 and transformed Klub Mír into a cracking cauldron of energy, sweat and uncompromising old-school punk. A St. Nicholas atmosphere? More like a hellish ride that showed that even after decades on the scene, the Visáčs have lost none of their charm, audacity and ability to captivate the audience.
It was clear from the first minutes that it was sold out — the club was bursting at the seams and the front rows were turning into a living, pulsating organism. The cauldron was boiling so hot that you could boil eggs there, but who would worry about the temperature when a good conversation was starting.
Shortly after half past eight, the members of Visací zámek began to spill onto the stage and the crowd immediately roared. To start, they blasted Traktor, which immediately kicked the atmosphere into full gear. This was followed by Vlasta, Padesát and other classics, which the audience sang like prayers passed down through generations. There was also an honest homage to British roots in the form of a remake of Anarchie by the Sex Pistols, which the crowd received with an enthusiasm that would shake even concrete walls.
The set continued with other hits such as Pičus, Hymn of the Gallows Brothers, Stánek, Klíště or Absolutní peklo — and that's exactly what it looked like. Klub Mír turned into one big, sweaty and happy chaos, where people partied, danced, jumped, pogoed, practiced, shouted, fell and sang. A punk party with everything.
And because the Hanging Castle concert is not only about music, but also about their unique theater, there was also the traditional Haubert recitation. This time he brought out his darkly tuned version of Erben's Wedding Shirt, which he performed with such fervor that even K. J. Erben himself would have smiled contentedly in his grave. The audience devoured every word.
This was followed by Pitomá, complete with the obligatory warm-up, during which the entire club turned into one big bouncing organism. And of course, there was no shortage of anthems of all anthems — Známka punkku , which Visáči blasted during the evening and definitely unleashed hell.
St. Nicholas' night at Klub Mír was not about devils and angels, but about one big punk ritual. Padlock once again showed that even after years they have the energy, humor and drive that any young band can envy. The audience left sweaty, laughing and satisfied — exactly as it should be.
Finally, a big thank you to Visací zámek for another unforgettable performance, which turned Uherské Hradiště into the epicenter of honest Czech punk for one evening. An equally big thank you goes to the fans who filled Klub Mír to the ceiling and created an atmosphere that is hard to forget. Without their energy, vocals, and willingness to jump into the cauldron, this evening would not be what it was — a pure, raw, and honest celebration of punk.
