VALEČOVSKÉ SUMMER ISN'T OVER YET: TRAUTENBERK, ALKEHOL AND MORČATA NA ÚTĚKU WILL SHAKE THE AMPHITHEATRE BENEATH THE CASTLE

09/08/2026

Summer may be slowly preparing to hand over the reins to autumn, but the lights definitely aren't going out at Valečov just yet. On Friday, 11 September 2026, the natural amphitheatre beneath the ruins of Valečov Castle is in for another seriously loud evening. Three bands that know exactly how to get a crowd moving are heading to Boseň near Mnichovo Hradiště: Trautenberk, Alkehol and Morčata na útěku. If you're looking for a farewell to the festival summer with guitars loud enough to carry far beyond the castle rocks, this is a date you definitely need to circle in your calendar.

For many years, Valečovské Summer has been one of those events that doesn't rely solely on the names in its line-up. A huge part of its magic comes from the location itself. The natural amphitheatre right next to the ruins of Valečov Castle offers an atmosphere that neither a traditional club nor an ordinary urban venue can replicate. The concert series runs here from May to September, and this year's 27th edition once again offers a cross-section of the Czech rock and popular music scene.

Who can you look forward to at Valečov on 11 September?

The main attraction of the evening will be the Klatovy-based tanzmetal pack Trautenberk. Their concerts are renowned for enormous energy, tongue-in-cheek humour, heavy riffs and choruses that pull the audience in from the very first minutes. Trautenberk simply isn't a band for standing motionless with your hands in your pockets. Once their show gets going, things get seriously wild in front of the stage, and the natural surroundings of Valečov could take their mountain madness to an entirely new level.

Alkehol will bring a solid dose of Czech rock tradition. After more than three decades on the scene, the band has an arsenal of songs whose choruses are known by audiences across generations. No unnecessary complications, just a straightforward rock'n'roll ride, guitars, humour and an atmosphere where the crowd sings right along with the band. Exactly the kind of concert that belongs in an open-air amphitheatre on a September evening.

Completing the trio are Morčata na útěku, who over the years have built their own world full of musical parodies, politically incorrect humour and lyrics that make absolutely no attempt to be polished or restrained. Their performance will bring another dose of irreverence and wild entertainment to the evening. The combination of Trautenberk, Alkehol and Morčata na útěku therefore promises a line-up packed with power, humour and more than enough choruses to put the vocal cords of the entire amphitheatre to work.

According to the organisers, the event starts at 5:30 PM. The venue opens one hour before the first performance begins. Children aged 10 and under are admitted free of charge, as are holders of a Czech ZTP/P disability card; accompanying persons require a paid ticket. Tickets are available through the official Valečovské Summer presale.

So, on 11 September, don't expect a quiet farewell to summer. Valečov will be singing, jumping, shouting and, above all, playing loud. Three distinctive Czech bands, a rock amphitheatre and one of the final major concert nights of this year's season.
