Travis Barker confirmed on The New York Times Popcast that Blink-182 are working on a new album and also opened up about his documentary.

During the summer months, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker was invited to The New York Times Popcast as part of the promotion surrounding his documentary. In his conversation with Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli, Travis mainly discussed his documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear and other related topics, but the conversation also turned to his musical plans.
Barker spoke about drumming as a discipline that helps keep his life in balance. While his documentary continues to generate discussion on social media, he revealed that he is far from taking a break and that the band are working hard on a new record, which will be Blink-182's tenth studio album. According to Barker, work on the album is already underway, and the new record is expected to follow their latest album, One More Time, released in 2023.
Blink-182 are set to return to Europe next year. In addition to the Rock im Park/Rock am Ring festivals in neighbouring Germany, they will also pay a visit to the Czech Republic. The band will appear as one of the headliners of Rock For People in Hradec Králové in June 2027, returning to the Czech Republic after four years. Their previous Czech show took place in September 2023, when they performed at the sold-out O2 Arena as part of their worldwide Blink-182 World Tour 2023/2024. So, if everything goes according to plan, we can hope they will bring some of their new material with them as well.
At the same time, Travis also announced that he is once again producing a new album by Alkaline Trio. Last year, he produced several singles for the band, but this time he has also taken on the role of drummer. The members of Alkaline Trio are very close to Travis. Their frontman Matt Skiba even performed as guitarist and backing vocalist with Blink-182 from 2015 to 2022, stepping in during the absence of founding member Tom DeLonge.
So, are you looking forward to seeing them at Rock For People, and hopefully hearing some of their new music as well?
