Three former members of UDG return as Demigods. In their single „Slova“ they open up about an unexpected ending.

After the sudden and, for fans, shocking split of UDG, its former members are returning to the scene. Under a new name, Demigods, they are releasing a single and music video titled "Slova." The song is an open confession and a direct reaction to recent events that have placed the musicians in a difficult life situation.
While the other side had roughly a year to prepare for a new phase, the founding members who were removed from the band had to act immediately. The result of these intense days and the need to confront the situation head-on is the formation of Demigods. Their first release, the track "Slova," functions both as musical therapy and a clear statement.
"We had to deal with it quickly and in our own way. Unlike our former colleagues, we didn't have months to plan — we put everything together on the fly, with tremendous dedication and emotions that were running high," say the members of Demigods. "The song 'Slova' is our way of closing one chapter and expressing what happened to us. It's about the words that were said, and those that should have been said differently. The lyrics were very important to us, which is why we invited Ondřej Ládek (Xindl X) to collaborate. The result perfectly captures the emotions and everything we've been going through over the past two months."
A new beginning and renewed energy
With this song, Demigods confirm that despite the painful split, their creative energy has not disappeared. Although the music video appears to tell the story of a romantic couple, its metaphorical layer clearly reflects the current situation within the band and the emotions the members are experiencing.
At present, the band is working on:
- Lineup completion: Finalizing the selection of new members to join the core lineup.
- Rehearsal phase: Preparing for an intensive retreat in the coming days, where they will rehearse new material and build chemistry with the new members.
- Live shows: The first concert dates will be announced soon, as the band aims to return to the stage as quickly as possible.
"We're not spending time looking back more than necessary. Right now, the priority is the music and getting back to meeting our fans live under the name Demigods," the musicians conclude.
