This Friday and Saturday, the Hrady CZ music festival will make its historic debut in Hluboká nad Vltavou with Mirai, Daniel Landa, Rybičky 48 and Mig 21
After Točník, Kunětická hora and Švihov, the travelling Hrady CZ festival will make its historic debut on Friday and Saturday, 31 July and 1 August in Hluboká nad Vltavou near České Budějovice, replacing the former stop in Rožmberk nad Vltavou. The Hluboká event will combine concerts by leading Czech and Slovak artists with the exceptional atmosphere of the nearby castle. Hrady CZ will then move to Moravia, with Friday-and-Saturday stops at Veveří, Hradec nad Moravicí and Bouzov, before concluding its 21st tour on 29 and 30 August at Bezděz. Friday in Hluboká will feature Rybičky 48 and Mig 21 as well as rapper Rytmus. On Saturday, visitors can look forward to exclusive extended sets by Mirai and Daniel Landa, plus Vypsaná fixa, Krucipüsk and Tomáš Klus. The Hrady CZ ticket price includes a free tour of Hluboká nad Vltavou Castle on Saturday afternoon, subject of course to the monument's capacity.
The Hrady CZ festival spent fifteen unforgettable years at Rožmberk in the South Bohemian Region, but the more demanding terrain, especially in bad weather, had reached the limits of what the organisers could manage technically and was affecting audience comfort. When the opportunity arose to move to a place with the unique spirit of Hluboká nad Vltavou, the organisers did not hesitate. "Hluboká nad Vltavou is known not only to every South Bohemian, and it is easily accessible from České Budějovice as well as from other major towns in the region. The festival site will be built on a beautiful, level area surrounded by plenty of trees in the Munice district near the Vondrov farmstead. We believe Hrady CZ will thrive here, and we are looking forward to welcoming the very first visitors to this new festival stop," says Hrady CZ festival organiser Michal Šesták.
On Friday, the two-stage festival grounds in Hluboká nad Vltavou near the village of Munice will open at 3:30 p.m. The crowd will be set dancing by Trautenberk, the musically inventive Grey256 and pop band Vega Elektra. This year, the traditional castle costume carnival - the largest of its kind and a regular part of the programme celebrates its 20th anniversary and will take place at 7:30 p.m. Everyone who arrives in costume will enjoy a parade on the festival stage and receive a reward. At every Hrady CZ stop, the audience will choose the three best costumes by cheering. They will advance to the grand final, whose winners will be announced on 17 November 2026. The top prize for the overall winner will be free tickets to next year's festival together with a range of other prizes.
On Saturday, the festival grounds will open to visitors at 10:30 a.m. Fans can also look forward to crazy-rock band Harlej, singer Lenny and singer-songwriter Xindl X. Alternative-pop formation Brixtn will present its new single Náhubek, while Adaline will bring a 1990s sound to Hrady CZ for the first time.
