The band Wohnout comes up with a unique audiobook

As part of celebrating three decades on the music scene, the band Wohnout is bringing a special gift to its fans. Following the successful release of the biographical book Třicet svíček na dortu, the group is now introducing its audio version.
This time, the band members stepped behind the microphone without their musical instruments and recorded the entire autobiography themselves, tracing their journey from punk beginnings in Prague's Vinohrady district all the way to sold-out concerts.
This unconventional audiobook offers listeners a total of 55 chapters, narrated for the very first time by Matěj and Honza Homola together with Jirka Zemánek and Zdeněk Steiner. The result is four and a half hours of spoken word filled with authenticity and the band's characteristic humour. To make the experience complete for fans, the audio version also includes archival materials and excerpts from songs taken from all studio and bonus albums the band has released throughout its thirty-year career.
"Making an audiobook initially sounded like a crazy idea, followed by half a year of pretty intense work, because there's really a lot of spoken word intertwined with our songs. Recording it with our own voices was a challenge, since none of us had ever done anything like this before, so the result feels very authentic. We hope the good atmosphere that filled the studio will transfer to the listeners as well," comments Matěj Homola on the creation of the project.
The new audio release is available to fans through several channels. For those who prefer video format, the complete audiobook is available on the band's official YouTube channel, where it has been divided into three parts for easier navigation. At the same time, it can also be found on all major digital platforms such as Spotify, Google Play and Apple Music, allowing fans to listen anytime while on the move.
The anniversary celebrations are accompanied by the extensive Bohémských 30 tour, which continues after the spring leg with additional autumn dates across the country and will culminate on November 18, 2026, with a major anniversary concert at Prague's Lucerna. The original printed edition of the book, featuring 380 pages along with extensive photographic material, remains available at concerts, in bookstores and on the band's e-shop.
