Texas rockers Nothing More will rock Prague

Progressive foursome from Texas Nothing More will soon present their energetic show in Prague. On November 18, they will take over the ARCHA+ space, where in addition to old hits, they will also play their latest release "FREEFALL". Nothing More, who have three Grammy nominations under their belt, are among the best that the current alternative rock scene has to offer. Fans will recognize the distinctive frontman Jonny Hawkins by his characteristic catchy vocals, but also by his half-naked and thematically painted body. This year, Nothing More performed a great show at Rock for People, which they will follow up with a Prague concert under the banner of RFP Concerts. The band is heading to that with special guests Catch Your Breath, Solence and Ankor.

Nothing More are no strangers to the music scene. The band formed in 2003 and have released six studio albums to their name. Along the way, they have earned three GRAMMY nominations and two gold records. Towards the end of the decade, longtime drummer Jonny Hawkins decided to transition to lead vocals, stabilizing the band's core lineup alongside longtime members Mark Vollelunga (guitar) and Daniel Oliver (bass). 2022's "Spirits," which spawned songs like "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT LOVE MEANS" and the Top 5 hit "TIRED OF WINNING," subtly portrays Nothing More's esoteric leanings without losing their imaginative melodies. Two years later, "Carnal" brings their music to precise perfection. The album harks back to the band's breakthrough 2014 set and the bombastic energy of songs like "This is the Time (Ballast)," while powerful interludes and trip-hop transitions tie it all together. If "Spirits" was water, "Carnal" is fire. Nothing More sound more biting and visceral, and they inscribe it into their music with even greater insight than ever before.

Nothing More's music combines inner thoughts and grandeur. The music that Jonny Hawkins, Mark Vollelunga, Daniel Oliver, and Ben Anderson create together is elemental, elemental, even carnal. Its foundation is heady and heavy, full of creative nuances that can only be captured on repeated listens, while catchy melodies always float and intertwine in a graceful dance between tradition and unexpected experimentation.
