Tereza Rays – The Woman Who Traded Comfort for a Guitar. Czech Rocker Heads to America

You have probably already come across Czech rocker Tereza Rays and her band Electric Lady. If not, now is definitely the time to take notice – because this woman certainly does not play it safe. Following the release of the EP COLORS and the COLORS music video.
Electric Lady is launching the COLORS Tour in America, starting in September 2026 after the success of the single in the prestigious English-language Rolling Stone magazine.
And perhaps that is exactly what makes her story so compelling: Tereza did not choose the comfortable path. She chose the guitar, a rock 'n' roll life full of travel and challenges. Instead of fitting into a safe musical box, Tereza created a space of her own. Instead of waiting for an opportunity, she began creating her own opportunities, and instead of trying to fit in, she decided to write songs about her life and pursue her dream. Obstacles or no obstacles. Tereza Rays is now heading across the ocean at a moment when a completely new chapter is beginning to open for Electric Lady following the release of the COLORS EP.
Tereza Rays is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, lyricist and frontwoman of Electric Lady, which she founded in 2013. Her musical journey began at the age of fifteen, when the music of Jimi Hendrix inspired her to pick up the guitar. Since then, she has performed on stages in the Czech Republic and abroad, and Electric Lady has played hundreds of concerts not only at home, but all around the world. Tereza Rays has also shared the stage with Rytmus at Prague's O2 Arena, as well as with Olga Lounová, Monkey Business and others.
Now, however, another major chapter is about to begin.
On September 3, 2026, Electric Lady will launch its American COLORS TOUR at the Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma. Tereza has another 11 shows ahead of her, including appearances at Smokin' Cole Rally & Rodeo in Bloomville, Legend Fest in Chikasha and Bama Rock Fest in Alabama, among others. The band is set to play a whole series of shows across the United States, including additional festivals and concerts in Bloomville, Bristol and Memphis, with New Orleans also under consideration.
Rocklahoma is certainly not the kind of place you simply end up at by chance. For a Czech rock band, performing at an American festival is a huge opportunity to show what they can do – directly in front of an audience in the country that gave the world Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and Foo Fighters.
And who makes up Electric Lady? Alongside Tereza Rays on guitar and vocals, the band features Czech bassist Cayman and English drummer Robin Evans from Manchester.
After the American COLORS TOUR, Tereza Rays and Electric Lady will also return to a Czech stage – on December 19, 2026, they will perform at Prague's O2 Arena as part of the FMX Gladiators Games.
So remember her name well and follow her live broadcasts from America on social media.
