Tereza Mašková and Václav Noid Bárta Join Forces for Emotional Duet Obavy

21/10/2026

Tereza Mašková has surprised her fans with a brand-new duet. Just days after announcing the biggest solo concert of her career at Prague's O2 arena, and less than a month after releasing her single Zas a znova, she has teamed up with reigning Golden Nightingale winner Václav Noid Bárta for the song Obavy, accompanied by an official music video.

The song's lyrics and message explore a relationship that begins to fall apart even though the two people involved are still in love. Sometimes they manage to overcome their problems; other times, they don't. It is this uncertainty that lies at the heart of the song's title, Obavy.

The music and lyrics were written by Ján Vávra, Ronald Janeček and Vít Štaigl. The music video was directed by Jakub Mahdal and filmed at Toušeň Studios, near Prague.

For Tereza and Václav, this marks their first musical collaboration. Their duet comes as an unexpected surprise for fans. "Vašek messaged me one evening at ten and then called, saying, 'Teri, I want to do a duet with you.' It was quite funny and incredibly sweet. I didn't hesitate for a second, and it struck me as a great spontaneous idea. I have enormous respect for Vašek. He's an amazing person and artist," says Tereza.

Václav is equally enthusiastic about working with Tereza, explaining that they click both personally and musically. "I've been rooting for Terezka since her debut. After performing together a few times and meeting at festivals, I realised what an amazing person she is and how well we get along," says Václav. He adds about the song itself: "The song caught my attention primarily from a producer's perspective. In terms of sound and melody, it's completely different from what I'm used to doing. I'm really looking forward to hearing people's reactions, and I believe they'll enjoy this side of me."

Tereza's biggest solo concert to date will take place on January 22, 2028, at Prague's O2 arena, under the title Růžová O2 arena. There's a good chance fans will get to hear this new duet performed live at the show.
