Ten Years of „Díky Vám!“: zakázanÝovoce Light Up Plzeň’s Lampa, with Jirka Kára Making an Appearance Too

26/10/2026

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Plzeň's Divadlo pod Lampou was shaking to its foundations. ZakázanÝovoce rolled into town with their current 10 let Díky Vám! tour, making Plzeň the second stop on the run.

Underground Punk and Jirka Kára

The evening kicked off with Papír sklo plasty, an alternative underground punk rock band from Česká Lípa, where the tour had begun just a day earlier. Although the band have been around for years, they only gained wider recognition with their 2022 album Jirka Kára. The record featured contributions from several underground legends, including Vratislav Brabenec, saxophonist of The Plastic People of the Universe. Much of the band's music revolves around nihilistic poetry, the raw realism of street life and people living on the fringes of society.

They opened their set with Libeň Žižkov Letná, followed by Samotka. Naturally, Jirka Kára made an appearance, along with other tracks associated with the infamous character, including Láska je věčná and Svatba Jiřího Káry. The space in front of the stage was still fairly empty, with the crowd warming up and hanging back. So the singer decided to fill our lovely dance floor with his own presence instead. The set also featured the manly Moudí and closed with the fierce Pojď se rvát.

10 Years of Díky Vám!, 15 Years of Alkoholka

After a short break, ZakázanÝovoce stormed the stage to the sounds of Mezi láskou a nenávistí. The set included old favourites such as Vem si mě, Zas ráno and Alkoholka, the latter celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. As the band pointed out, in another three years it'll finally be old enough to have a legal drink with us! There was also room for newer material from their latest album, including Drobný nedostatky, Jack & Sally and Vyprávíme.

During several songs, including Město Andělů, their technician Martin stepped in to handle bass duties. The emotional Nech mě odejít lit up the room with fans' phone lights, while Zastávka na znamení was dedicated to firefighters. Of course, the new version of Někdo jako ty also made the setlist. Then guitarist Petr gave us such an enthusiastic sales pitch for Pornostár that we'd happily hire him for a morning teleshopping show. As Yaris put it, even Horst Fuchs would have struggled to compete! During the final song, Genocida, which is supposedly older than our club (Yeah, right!), the band introduced its members. Among them was new drummer Štěpán Louda, who has replaced Filip Wintr.

At the end of the night, the fans clapped and cheered for an encore. But first came a group photo to capture the atmosphere of another successful tour stop. Then the band wrapped things up in traditional fashion with Díky Vám!, the title track of the album whose tenth anniversary the tour is celebrating.

A huge thank-you to both bands for bringing such an amazing atmosphere to our music club in Plzeň. We can't wait for the next show!

And speaking of which, ZakázanÝovoce will return to Plzeň as early as April 2027, this time at KD Šeříkovka, as part of the Křižovatky tour alongside Fast Food Orchestra and Tragedis. Impatient fans can already grab tickets for any stop on the tour via XTicket.cz.
