Symphonic Storm and Viking Shadows: LEAVES’ EYES Unveil “Song Of Darkness”

The symphonic Viking collective LEAVES' EYES enter 2026 in grand style. The band has just unveiled an epic music video for the title track "Song Of Darkness", which also opens the EP of the same name, set for release on March 6, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

"Song Of Darkness" clearly shows that LEAVES' EYES are at the peak of their form. Monumental orchestration meets heavy riffs, massive choirs, and powerful emotion. Lyrically, the song dives into the dark waters of an Icelandic medieval saga about the outlaw Gísli — a world of murder, guilt, dreams, magic, and futile hope for redemption.

Band leader Alexander Krull describes the track as "a tragic love story without a happy ending," while vocalist Elina Siirala highlights the work with contrasts:
"It's a play of light and darkness. A dark story, but with a spark of hope. Exactly the kind of drama that belongs to LEAVES' EYES."

The EP was recorded at Mastersound Studio under Krull's supervision and functions as a cohesive narrative — each track represents a chapter in a musical saga. Elina's majestic vocals soar above the orchestral storm, Krull's growls add raw, earthy intensity, and together they create a dense, cinematic atmosphere full of tension and emotion.

LEAVES' EYES have also announced European live shows, where they will present the new material on stage alongside special guests CATALYST CRIME.

After more than twenty years on the scene, LEAVES' EYES remain one of the most distinctive forces in symphonic metal. "Song Of Darkness" is not just another release — it is a dark signal of a new chapter, promising even greater stories, emotions, and musical monumentality. 🖤⚔️
