SUNFEST 2026 BRINGS THREE BANDS TOGETHER UNDER ONE SUN

PRAGUE/BRNO This autumn will bring a unique concert collaboration between three Czech modern metal bands sharing one common feature: the word "Sun" in their names. SUNFEST 2026 will offer two shows packed with heavy riffs, atmosphere, emotion and energy, featuring Halo of the Sun, Bite the Sun and Dream of the Sun.

The first concert will take place on September 19, 2026, at Kabinet MÚZ in Brno, followed by a second show on October 10, 2026, at Chapeau Rouge in Prague.

SUNFEST is not a traditional festival in the usual sense. It is a gathering of like-minded bands connected not only by the symbolism of the sun in their names, but above all by their shared emphasis on a modern approach to heavy music, a powerful atmosphere and an individual creative identity.

The Kladno-based band Halo of the Sun has established a strong position on the Czech progressive metalcore scene in recent years. Their music combines technical precision, melodic passages and modern production. At the beginning of 2026, they released the EP Hyperconnected, which explores themes such as the loss of identity, the pressures of the digital world and inner conflict.

Brno-based Bite the Sun deliver a combination of atmospheric metalcore, strong melodies and crushing riffs. Their live performances are known for their focus on audiovisual presentation and cinematic atmosphere, supported by projections and a carefully designed stage show. The band's motto, "Drop tunings, not bombs," perfectly captures their approach to music.

Prague-based Dream of the Sun build their sound around melancholic atmospheres, personal lyrics and raw energy. Their music combines catchy choruses with heavy passages, blending influences from the modern metal scene, including electronics and atmospheric elements, with the energy and directness of old-school nu metal.
