Still Going Strong! Dymytry, Arakain and Germany's April Art Took Over Brno's Sono

Brno's Sono Music Club hosted another stop on the joint tour of two metal bands, Arakain and Dymytry. The evening delivered exactly what fans expected from this iconic pairing, namely honest music, great sound and a few unexpected moments.
The show kicked off at around 6:30 p.m. when German band April Art took to the stage as the special guests advertised on the posters. This energetic group, which hit the road in 2026 to present its new studio album RED, showed why it is building such a strong reputation on the European scene. Fronted by the uncompromising singer Lisa-Marie Watz and her characteristically fierce voice, the band was given a full hour-long set. With modern rock riffs, catchy choruses and unrestrained energy, they succeeded in warming up the Brno audience.
After their performance and a brief stage changeover, it was time for the main event, which the two bands opened together with the song Jedna krev. Arakain, however, had to deal with the absence of guitarist Mirek Mach, who was unable to attend. The band found a solution, placing a cardboard cutout of him on stage so he could at least be there in spirit, while Jiří Dymo Urban and Jan Gorgy Görgel of Dymytry took turns filling in on guitar. From the outset, the collaboration between the two camps took on a very practical and friendly dimension, making it clear that this would not be two separate performances but one big shared party.
Arakain drew on their tried-and-tested, best-known songs during their set, with a guest appearance by Václav Noid Bárta adding even more flavor to the atmosphere. He and frontman Jan Toužimský exchanged a few jokes on stage that amused the entire Sono crowd, while their humorous remarks and references to chickens perfectly complemented the relaxed mood in the hall. Another highlight of the setlist was a musical experiment in which the bands each performed a song from the other's repertoire. Arakain surprised the audience with Dymytry's hit Média, while Dymytry fired back with the Arakain classic Slečna heavy. To give the rest of the band a moment to catch their breath, Honza Toužimský picked up a guitar himself and played the acoustic ballad Chtěl bych ti říct, with the packed Sono singing along.
While the two outstanding drummers provided the rhythmic drive and precision throughout the evening, Miloš Meier drew enormous attention during Dymytry's set with his solo, once again confirming his status as one of the country's most prominent drummers. The traditional drum duel with Lukáš Doxa Doksanský then brilliantly connected the two halves of the evening without letting the atmosphere cool down.
After the excellent drum battle, Dymytry hit the stage without any delay and kept up the devilish pace. They launched their set with My ještě nechcem jít and continued delivering one banger after another, including Digitální tráva, Revolter and Zůstaň stejná.
The climax of the entire evening came with the final joint performance, when members of both bands gathered on stage together in full force. Timeless hits rang out, including Slečna závist and the closing Adieu. The concert at Sono thus fully met expectations and confirmed that the connection between generations surrounding the Urban family works absolutely flawlessly.
The entire evening in Brno was a fantastic musical ride that completely captivated the fans and seemed to fly by in no time. Huge thanks go to the two headliners, Arakain and Dymytry, for their dedication and excellent show, to the German guests April Art for getting the atmosphere off to a perfect start, and, last but not least, to the entire ZL Production team for organizing this stop and ensuring everything ran smoothly.
