Rybičky 48 Concluded BIG/BÝT in České Budějovice

On Saturday, the last weekend of Advent, the final concert of Rybičky 48's Big/Být Tour took place in the hall at the Výstaviště in České Budějovice. Previous stops included Prague and Plzeň, but the band chose to conclude the tour in this South Bohemian city—a place everyone would want to live in.
The evening was once again kicked off by the band "Děkař," as the guys humorously named the group created specifically for this tour—a mix of Jakub Děkan's band and Pekař.
Right at the beginning of their set, a donor SMS pattern for the Arpida Rehabilitation Center—regularly supported by Rybičky 48—was projected in the background. The center even had a booth in the hall, selling handmade items. If you attended the concert but haven't supported the center yet (or simply want to do a good deed), you can still contribute; information is available through the link.
Hits from both Pekař and Děkař, such as Ještěžete, První druhá šance, Bůh, or Co bývávalo už není, were played in rotation. There was also a mashup of their most famous choruses—Andělé, Hrdá, Ráno, etc. About halfway through the set, they thanked everyone for participating in the tour—the Rybičky 48 band, the management girls, and Martin Řehoř, who was invited on stage.
During the song Děda, they introduced the band members (from both bands—Pekař's and Děkan's). This was followed by Tančím, where Kuba Ryba joined to sing the chorus. They also recorded a jump into the air to link it to a popular TikTok trend—jumping in an empty hall and landing among the crowd. The set ended with the hit Kde si včera bol, which shook the entire hall.
The final round of the musical battle for the golden belt was not missing either. Pekař won this round by a few extra decibels, which isn't surprising—South Bohemia is like a second home to him. After six stops on this amazing concert tour, the battle is thus tied—each won exactly three times.
The curtain was then raised, and Rybičky's concert followed. As always, it was launched like a cannon shot, along with the new song Big/Být, which also gives the new album and tour its title.
In addition to the full new album, many older songs were played, mostly alternating with the newer tracks. Older hits included Magdaléna, Vážené Dámy, Divokej Ir, Léto, Emily, Ženy, and Ooou. Among the new songs, a few notes and details were shared about their creation—for example, Sofie is dedicated to all the guys whose women and girlfriends were (once) "blessed" by the band, Nebeská prána is Kuba's funeral song, and Kdo ví (Chinaski na piku) was also praised by Michal Malátný himself.
After playing the new track Kulový, an invitation appeared on the LED screens for their MegaConcerts in Kutná Hora, scheduled for May next year. Unfortunately, these will be the last ones. But don't be sad—since the band will celebrate its 25th anniversary the following year, we can expect something big for fans even without MegaConcerts. They also finally revealed the guest performers for this "home festival" in May, including Janek Ledecký, Mňága a Žďorp, UDG, O5 a Radeček, and Kamil Střihavka. So, there's plenty to look forward to in May. Tickets are available on Ticketstream.
During Slibuju, že nebudu pít, they asked fans if anyone wanted to play a solo with them. A volunteer named Tomáš stepped up and fully enjoyed the experience. Although this little "guitar scene" was inspired by Green Day, it was flawless.
Before the final finale, the band announced plans to return next fall/winter to smaller club and cultural house venues, including a visit back to České Budějovice in December.
The encores began with Horník, launched by the singer's "flamingo." Proper flames shooting straight from the bass? This song is perfect for that. Then they headed "to America," where "no one cares about four Czech ovaries," ending with the slogan My ještě nejsme starý ("We're not old yet").
In conclusion, we are grateful to have been part of the tour's grand finale and some previous stops. Thanks to the organizers of this amazing concert tour and the great idea of the special opening band. We really enjoyed the tour.
It was BIG, and you were supposed to BE there. If you missed the tour or just want to relive it, you'll find a few photos below, and the full album from the event is on our ZONERAMA page.
If the photos aren't enough, you can also check out the GALLERY FROM PLZEŇ, where guests like Pepa Bolan from Mandrage or Bára Zemanová, who performed in her hometown, also appeared.
