RAW ENERGY, ADRENALINE AND GASOLINE: Euro Bike Fest in Pasohlávky turned Pálava into a metal hell on earth!

If rock'n'roll and heavy metal mean more to you than just background music for an afternoon coffee, then last weekend you simply had to be camping beneath the Pálava Hills. The legendary Euro Bike Fest once again proved that the raw combination of roaring engines, heavyweight guitar riffs and extreme sports generates a massive wave of energy that few ordinary open-air festivals can match. From Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31, 2026, the shores of the Mušov Lakes shook to their foundations under the assault of thousands of fans from across Europe.
While the festival grounds were alive with stunt performances, ring fights and an uncompromising display of machines during the day, the evenings belonged to pure musical aggression. The Spark editorial team even had its own stage at the festival! Let's take a look back at how things heated up beneath the stages during the two main festival nights.
Friday Night: From Melodic Hard Rock to Heavy Spark Sets
On Friday, the musical machine kicked into high gear, with both the Main Stage and the Spark Stage delivering a solid dose of genres from early afternoon until late at night. The afternoon opening on the main stage belonged to female hard rock icon Loretta, followed by the hard-heavy outfit Lautr, providing a perfect melodic start for the awakening festival grounds. As the day progressed, things got heavier with the energetic rock band Jamaron, whose fierce performance and modern sound demonstrated why their popularity has been rising so rapidly.
But once darkness fell, it was time for heavyweight thrash metal classics as veterans Arakain stormed the stage. They delivered an absolutely precise set where riffs cut like razors, the massive sound crushed eardrums, and the crowd in front of the stage went wild. Prime time and the peak of Friday night then belonged to proven hitmakers Harlej, who launched their traditional wild ride full of sing-along anthems. To close out the festival day, main-stage regulars Gate Crasher hit the stage after eleven o'clock and reliably delivered an energetic rock set. The Spark Stage was equally active. From early evening, it hosted the SPARK FRESH BLOOD competition, showcasing promising young bands, and at exactly 10:30 PM, the hard rock formation Bastard uncompromisingly brought Friday's programme there to an end.
Saturday Night: Crossover Cynicism, Folk Rock and a Thrash Metal Storm
Saturday raised the intensity on all fronts. The musical programme on the Main Stage began at eleven in the morning and continued building momentum until late into the night. After the opening performance by Ostropestřci and a series of discussion panels, Brno-based Insania stormed the main stage shortly after 2 PM. Their trademark blend of cynicism, biting irony and uncompromising crossover rhythms instantly woke everyone from their hangovers. Next came legendary punk veterans SPS, bringing straightforward energy, rebellion and fast-paced punk rock to Pasohlávky, immediately igniting the pit in front of the stage.
Booking Čechomor for the early evening proved to be a brilliant move. Their rock arrangements of traditional folk music captivated even the most stubborn metalheads. They were followed by the masked phenomenon Panoptiko, whose aggressive metal cabaret and impressive visual show added a perfect dose of theatrical decadence to the Pálava night. The Saturday Main Stage programme concluded shortly before midnight with Protheus and his energetic solo project, pumping the crowd full of the last remaining reserves of energy. Those craving pure underground metal on Saturday night, however, had to stand in front of the second stage. There, the audience was assaulted by death/thrash machine Arawn, heavy metal outfit Ingott, and finally Moravian thrash legends Shaark, who after 10 PM definitively finished off the neck vertebrae of every headbanging fan in attendance.
Adrenaline-Fueled Hell on Earth, in the Air and on the Water
But it wasn't all about the music. The daytime programme was packed to the brim. Visitors could watch stunt performances by the Crazy Day Stunt Team and the Continental Stunt Show. There was also a breathtaking FMX show featuring Libor Podmol and Petr Pilát, accompanied by an afternoon air show from Martin Šonka. The festival's rugged atmosphere was further enhanced by combat sports events featuring Boxing, K1, and Muay Thai matches. Visitors could also enjoy the renowned Big Lake Custom motorcycle custom-building competition, the constant buzzing of tattoo machines inside the Tattoo Tent, and a wakeboard show on the surface of the lakes.
Euro Bike Fest in Pasohlávky once again confirmed its unique place on the summer festival calendar. The combination of lakeside camping, the smell of gasoline, adrenaline and uncompromising heavy music (including our very own Spark Stage) creates a distinctive cocktail of freedom that you simply cannot experience anywhere else. The 2026 edition crossed the finish line at full throttle. We're already tuning up for next year!
A huge amount of respect goes to the organisers of Euro Bike Fest for delivering a top-class event and to all the bands for their one hundred percent commitment. But the biggest thanks go to you — the fans of motorcycles and heavy music. Thank you for creating a genuine rock and metal hell beneath the stages and for showing the true strength of this community. It was a wild weekend full of gasoline and honest guitar riffs - thank you for your energy, and we'll see you beneath Pálava again next year, running at full throttle!
