Post-it revive the demons of youth in new single. Geronimo symbolizes the untamed fight within us

Prague band Post-it release their new single Geronimo. The song is a deeply personal look back at the frontman's wild youth and the inner battles that shaped him. As a symbol of defiance, the band borrowed the name of the legendary Native American chief.

The lyrics grew out of an honest reflection on the past. "Geronimo is more than a name from history to us. He symbolizes an untamed warrior who never gave up, even against overwhelming odds. In this song I return to moments from my youth when I fought myself and states of mind that sometimes try to bring you to your knees," explains frontman Josef "Czenda" Urbánek. Geronimo is therefore a personal confession about finding a way out of chaos.

Musically, the track follows the modern crossover sound Post-it grew up on. It builds from an oppressive opening atmosphere to an explosive, cathartic chorus. Raw sound and urgent vocals underline the inner struggle familiar to anyone who has fought for their own integrity. "We wanted it to feel authentic. To carry the dirt and sweat of growing up. It's a vacation from the brain, but in the sense that, in the noise, you finally stop being afraid of yourself," the band adds.

The single is already in rotation on Evropa 2 and Frekvence 1 and comes with a music video directed by Lukáš Sochor. "We didn't want it to be just depressing, so we made it completely psychedelic," Czenda told fans on social media.

Post-it, a fixture of the Czech club scene, returned with renewed force after albums such as Ideál and Sektor 10. In 2020 they released the EP Co tě neposílí, to tě zabije. With Geronimo, Post-it open a chapter unafraid to reopen old wounds and turn them into energy for the present.
