Perfecth. Queens Of The Stone Age Seek Perfection in Imperfection on Their New Album
American rockers Queens of the Stone Age have announced the release of their new, ninth studio album. It will be their first record in three years, following their previous album In Times New Roman.
The album will be released on October 30, 2026, once again via Matador Records, just like their previous three albums. The record will be titled Perfecth. And no, that is not a typo. The title is a play on words, referring to the idea of perfection while also highlighting its unattainability. It will include the previously released single Easy Street.
You can pre-save the album on Spotify, or pre-order it directly from the label in physical format. Fans can choose from a standard CD, LP, or a special Deluxe LP edition, which includes, among other things, handwritten song lyrics, writing paper and stamps presented in a special envelope.
"Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be 'perfecth'," says Josh Homme. "Every song sounds as though it comes from a different world. That is intentional, because the album tries to bring together all kinds of emotions, such as love, desire, madness and a certain kind of wisdom that these emotions create."
As another taste of what is to come, the band has served up the single Insignificant Other. "It is a song about distance. About how someone can be your entire world and then disappear with the snap of a finger. About the feeling of vertigo when you are part of such a loss."
In 2027, Queens Of The Stone Age will be travelling extensively across Europe as special guests of System Of A Down. No Czech date has been announced so far, but considering that the European tour dates fall during the summer months, all we can do is hope that the band will also make it to the Czech Republic – perhaps as headliners at one of the country's festivals.
If that does not happen, however, do not despair – they will be playing relatively close by, so there will still be an opportunity to take a trip to neighbouring Germany (08.07.2027 Berlin; 10.07.2027 Düsseldorf) or Poland (18.07.2027 Warsaw).
