Obscene Extreme 2027 Adds Another Headliner for Its New Venue: 40-Year Grindcore Legends NAPALM DEATH!
Obscene Extreme, the one of a kind festival celebrating extreme music and freedom, has found a new home at Park 360 in Hradec Králové. And joining the line-up as another headliner are NAPALM DEATH!

Joining GWAR, THE EXPLOITED and BRUJERIA as another festival headliner are the godfathers of grindcore - the legendary NAPALM DEATH!
Even after four decades, NAPALM DEATH refuse to slow down, play it safe or become museum exhibits from a bygone era. These guys are part of the OEF family and remain as relevant as ever, continuing to push extreme music forward. So, get ready for a very special return at the festival's new home: their fifth appearance at OEF, coinciding with 40 years since the release of Scum, the album that changed the world of extreme music.
But we're not done with grindcore yet! The relatively young but immensely talented Canadian outfit BODYROT from Victoria had to cancel their performance last year, but they're back this time around. Expect fantastic, energetic, filthy and sick grindcore at crushing speed, with a good dose of old-school attitude - exactly what they'll bring to the OEF stage. Then there's the European debut of Melbourne grind trio HEMATEMESIS. Their sensational, raw grindcore packed with blast beats may still be relatively unknown in Europe, but the line-up features seasoned extreme-metal veteran Mel of LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY and 5 STABBED 4 CORPSES. And rounding out the grindcore additions are HEMORRHOID from Oregon, delivering coarse-grained, infectiously straightforward grind. Expect down-tuned guitars, disgustingly groovy riffs, crushing drums and vocals that sound as if something that should have stayed asleep has just awakened deep in a swamp.
If the recent announcement of MALIGNANCY got you excited, then KAKOTHANASY will knock you off your feet. This Swiss trio unleashes a mathematical whirlwind of incredibly tight and irresistibly catchy technical brutal death metal, with every track guaranteed to fry your brain. They'll unleash a frenzied set for their festival debut, so don't miss it!
And to top it all off, we have two acts from South America. Travelling all the way from Lima are four Peruvian maniacs, SPECTRAL SOULS, who know that '90s death metal doesn't need any improvements. Get the energy right, add a dark atmosphere, and you've got a winning formula. South American old-school death metal with plenty of drive and absolutely no compromises. And then there's ARMAGEDOM. A collision between Slayer and Discharge? These guys aren't copying anyone. The quartet from São Paulo, Brazil, have been around since 1984 and have influenced more than a few generations of musicians themselves. Expect utterly filthy punk metal with the speed and aggression pedals pushed all the way to the floor!
About the Festival
Obscene Extreme started in 1999 as a birthday party with friends and has grown into one of the world's best-known independent extreme music festivals, spreading its influence across the globe. It operates without sponsors or public funding, relying solely on fan support and merchandise sales, as reflected in its motto: In Fans We Trust. Up to 85 bands perform at the festival each year, attracting approximately 5,000 visitors.
