Obscene Extreme 2026 Is Approaching, the Gates of Battlefield Will Open to the Chosen Ones in Just Three Weeks, Even for a Single Day
Already on July 1, the 27th edition of this year's Obscene Extreme will take place, a festival of freedom, independence and seriously loud music that will thunder through the Battlefield amphitheatre in Trutnov from Wednesday until Sunday. A total of 85 bands will perform, and for the first time ever, one-day tickets are also available.
OEF, as fans have called the Obscene Extreme Festival for years, is a unique event that has long since outgrown the boundaries of the city, district, region, country and even the continent, as its organizer Čurby has already brought the festival spirit to fans in Mexico, Japan, Australia, Canada and Indonesia.
Its history dates back to 1999, when organizer Čurby originally started the event as a way to celebrate his birthday. Today, however, the festival is no longer just a birthday celebration. It has become a holiday for fans from all over the world who gather here at the beginning of summer to enjoy not only the music, but also the unique and welcoming DIY atmosphere that few, if any, international festivals on the planet can match.
Over the course of 27 years, an incredible 1,225 bands have performed here, and this year's Obscene Extreme line-up adds another 85 names. The festival takes place from July 1–5, 2026, in Trutnov at the Battlefield, and as always offers a mix of legendary names, insane grindcore assaults, proven death metal and exotic discoveries from around the globe.
CONVERGE (USA)

SEASON OF THE DEAD (international)
A rotten supergroup from the darkest corners of horror, featuring: John McEntee and Chuck Sherwood (Incantation), Fiore Stravino (Fulci), Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog), Giacomo Anselmi (Goblin Legacy), and Titta Tani (ex-Goblin, ex-Necrophagia).
In addition to the music, the festival's opening Wednesday also features the Freak Show and two evening performances. The first will be the bloody ritual of Fly High Tribe, a Czech suspension crew under the patronage of Inkdividual Studio, where there will be far more than just hook suspensions. To close the evening, Samora Squid from Tasmania, also known as the "Rubber Man", will perform. He became famous for his bizarre acts involving dislocated limbs and sword swallowing.
And because fans have been asking for one-day tickets for many years, the organizers have finally decided to grant that wish and allow visitors to attend for just a single day. However, only 200 one-day tickets are available for each day, so don't wait too long.
