NEŽFALEŠ release the album Dávka štěstí and revive the story of the Vyšehrad Riders in a new music video

Nežfaleš, one of the most distinctive bands on the Czech punk-rock scene, are returning five years after the successful album Šminky padlejch královen with a brand-new studio record titled Dávka štěstí. The album contains twelve tracks that offer an energetic cocktail of Nežfaleš's signature punk rock with a clear imprint of the present day. Alongside the new release, the band are also unveiling a music video for the third single, Vyšehradští jezdci.
Across the album, legendary Ramones meet the myth of the Vyšehrad Riders, the glorified realities of the 1990s collide with a mildly apocalyptic vision of the present, and a punk-rock love song stands next to an ode to the magic of gas stations. "The material for the album was created over about three years. This time we recorded in two stages – in autumn 2024 and autumn 2025. We thought it would be cool to 'preserve' the songs right when they were born and not wait several more months before putting the whole album together," explains frontman and lyricist Radek Šedivý.
Fans may already know the songs Další Ramones nepřijdou and Dávka štěstí. The album release is now underlined by the third single Vyšehradští jezdci, which is accompanied by a thematic music video. The song returns to the story of the gang of the same name that operated in Prague in the early 1950s and became a symbol of resistance against the communist regime. "It's a powerful topic. The gang of the Vyšehrad Riders, active in Prague in the early fifties, is surrounded by many myths and controversies. In both the lyrics and the video we focused mainly on their revolt against the communist regime, which unfortunately ended with the gang being broken up and many of its members being punished as exemplary cases in a trial," Radek comments on the song's origin.
The music video, in which you can recognize many figures and musicians from the Czech punk-rock scene in the roles of gang members, was directed by Martin "Molliy" Mol. Last year he also worked with the band on the well-received video for the album's title track.
The album Dávka štěstí is being released under the band's own label Existence ztracený records and will be available on LP in both limited and standard editions, on CD, and on all streaming platforms. The cover artwork was created by Vojtěch "Woody" Troják.
In spring, Nežfaleš will go on tour with friendly bands The Fialky and Totální Nasazení for the third time. This time the tour will also include the album's official christening. Concert-wise, the band will follow up on a very successful past season, during which they appeared at festivals such as Rock for People, Mighty Sounds, Valník, and in the Grand Hall of Prague's Lucerna.
