New Boundaries, Their Own Rules. Dead Poet Society Introduce Their Album Monarch
American rockers Dead Poet Society are not slowing down. The group, founded in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2013, is known for its unique sound and combination of alternative rock riffs with pop-infused choruses. The band consists of musicians who met while studying at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston – vocalist Jack Underkofler, guitarist Jack Collins, bassist Dylan Brenner, and drummer Will Groodroad. Their name refers to the "Dead Poets Society," although the musicians chose it rather hastily before their first concert and it has no connection to the film.
The band's new third studio album will be released on October 2, 2026. Produced by Paul Meany, it will be released via Spinefarm Records. You can pre-save the album on Spotify, or pre-order a physical copy from the band's official website in CD format, on LP, or as a limited-edition LP. Additional merch is also available. The album will feature the recent single Roach as well as the newly released Cold.
"We wanted to carve out our own territory. I just wanted to go all in with this album," says vocalist and guitarist Jack Underkofler. "I wanted to explore all the things that made us who we are in depth and try to capture the essence of the feeling that makes Dead Poet Society the band that it is."
As part of their UK & EU 2027 tour, the band will also return to MeetFactory on February 21, 2027. They are no strangers to the Czech Republic, having performed here several times before, most recently at Rock for People 2025.
So, are you going to see them? Or have you already had the chance to catch the band live before?
