MØNØDREAM Deliver a Dose of DØPAMINE: New EP Reveals the Darker Side of the Digital Age
Alternative music project MØNØDREAM has just released a new EP. The project is the brainchild of Martin Čupka, frontman of the well-known Czech-Slovak rock band John Wolfhooker. Following the departure of guitarist Filip Vlček, John Wolfhooker took a step back from the spotlight, giving Čupka the opportunity to explore something a little different.
MØNØDREAM serves primarily as a deeply personal outlet for the vocalist, allowing him to confront feelings of frustration, betrayal, uncertainty and burnout. Its sound is difficult to pin down or fit neatly into a single genre, blending elements of emo, punk, alternative rock and modern metalcore.
On 1 October 2026, the project released its new EP, DØPAMINE. Martin Čupka handled the production alongside Slovak producer Petr Kelbl, who was responsible for the final mix. The EP features four tracks and was released independently and self-funded. You can listen to it on Spotify.
The title track, DØPAMINE, also comes with a music video directed by Mateo Ťažký, a long-time collaborator of Martin Čupka. The video explores the superficiality of the modern digital age, our addiction to social media and the mindless scrolling that comes with it.
So, rather than wasting more time endlessly scrolling, we definitely recommend getting your dopamine fix by giving the EP a listen instead.
