Metal heavyweights In Flames and Trivium embark on a joint tour. They will perform at Prague’s O2 universum
A heavy metal hurricane is heading to the Czech Republic! In Flames and Trivium join forces for a co-headlining tour. In Flames represent the very best of metal's past, present and future. Their guitars, overflowing with melodies and crushing riffs, first fully came to life on their second album, The Jester Race, and have inspired entire generations of metal bands ever since. Trivium – featuring Matt Heafy (vocals/guitar), Corey Beaulieu (guitar), Paolo Gregoletto (bass) and Alex Rüdinger (drums) – are every bit as fierce and untamed. Their performance of the single Betrayer even earned them a Grammy nomination. In Flames and Trivium will arrive at Prague's O2 universum on 20 April 2027. They will be joined by special guests Paleface Swiss and Vola. RFP Club members can secure the best seats in advance from 26 August at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for the general public will go on sale from 28 August at 10:00 a.m. via the RFP Concerts website.
In Flames were formed in 1990 in Gothenburg, Sweden, and remain one of the most ferocious melodic death metal bands around. They have toured the world alongside giants such as Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, Megadeth and Slipknot. Metal Hammer, for example, described their 1999 melodeath masterpiece Colony as an "undeniable blast of energy." With every subsequent album, they have continued to evolve without ever slowing down. Foregone, their blistering fourteenth album released in 2023, combines the greatest strengths of their groundbreaking records – aggression, heaviness and melody – while taking them to another level through their mature songwriting. In Flames represent the very best of metal's past, present and future.
After forming in 1999, Trivium released Ascendancy in 2005, an album that Kerrang! named "Album of the Year." It went gold in the UK and surpassed half a million copies in worldwide sales. Metal Hammer later included it in its Top 15 list of the "Greatest Metal Albums of the Century."
The band has also achieved six consecutive Top 25 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 and six Top 3 debuts on the Top Rock Albums chart. For Trivium, this will be a quick return to the Czech Republic, as fans had the chance to see them at Rock for People 2026, while In Flames performed at Rock for People 2025.
