Look Outside Your Window: The Lost Album by Slipknot Members Finally Has a Release Date

Slipknot finally breaks the silence. After fifteen years, they are bringing out from the vault an album that was almost mythical. Look Outside Your Window will be released on April 18, 2026 – but not under the Slipknot name. This is a standalone project: Look Outside Your Window.

The project is led by the quartet Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, and Shawn "Clown" Crahan. The material was created alongside the recording of All Hope Is Gone in 2008, when the members worked on music that was significantly different from Slipknot's sound at the time.

According to the band members, LOYW will focus heavily on experimentation. The album is said to be more atmospheric and considerably more melodic than typical Slipknot material. Its style moves between art rock and alternative, at times evoking the sound of Radiohead.

Speculation about the release has lasted for many years, and with every delay, fans gradually lost hope – but Shawn "Clown" Crahan has kept his word this time. 2026 is finally the year the album will see the light of day!
