Kurtizány z 25. avenue Return After a Two-Year Break. New Album to Be Launched with Tomáš Hájíček

Cult rock outfit Kurtizány z 25. avenue are returning to the music scene after two years away from live performances. They are bringing fans the long-awaited studio album titled My z konce světa, arriving six years after their previous record. The band returns with a line-up consisting of Tomáš Vartecký (guitar, vocals), Jan Rupprich (bass, vocals) and Marek Macháček (drums, vocals). The main live celebration and album launch will take place on 6 December 2026 at Prague's Lucerna Music Bar, where Krucipüsk frontman Tomáš Hájíček will serve as the album's godfather.

The new album My z konce světa is the direct successor to the previous studio album Honzíkova cesta. The road to its completion, however, was far from straightforward, and the release was accompanied by a number of complications. All three band members contribute vocals to the new songs, giving the material considerable variety and dynamics. A notable guest on the album is Tomáš Hájíček himself, who recorded the track titled Krucikurvakluci with the band. The release will also please collectors and music enthusiasts, as it will be available both on CD and classic vinyl. For the title track My z konce světa, the band is currently shooting a music video under the direction of Michal Skořepa, which will be presented to fans as the first single ahead of the December concert.

"The album took shape on a road full of obstacles, which is why it took so long. We started working on it fairly soon after the release of Honzíkova cesta, so it follows on naturally. The record is simply drawn from life—quite wild, not very cheerful, but I think sometimes funny too," says frontman Tomáš Vartecký, describing the creative process and character of the new release.

The December album launch at Lucerna Music Bar will also be the first headline show in two years for Kurtizány z 25. avenue. Visitors can look forward to the live premiere of the new material, a joint appearance with Tomáš Hájíček, as well as proven hits from previous decades. Tickets for the December concert will be available through ticketing platforms in the coming days.

The single and music video My z konce světa will be released during October 2026, and we would be delighted if you were the first radio station to play the new single on air. Not least because we had such a great time performing at the Holba rock na grilu Opava festival, where the atmosphere was incredible.
