KING OF SYNTHOS Announce New Album Libertas Populi

Slovak metal band King of Synthos will release their new album, Libertas Populi, on October 31, 2026. The record combines heavy guitar riffs, electronics and industrial elements with Slovak lyrics that explore personal themes, social criticism, irony and outright provocation.

The album will arrive one day after the band's performance at Halloween Rock Night, taking place on October 30 at Randal in Bratislava.

Metal, Electronics and the Slovak Language

With Libertas Populi, King of Synthos are not trying to imitate English-language metal or simply translate English phrases into Slovak. The lyrics were written specifically to work with the natural rhythm of the Slovak language, making them an integral part of the music.

Musically, the band operate at the crossroads of modern metal, industrial and electronic music. Synthesizers are far more than a mere addition to the guitars – together with the riffs, electronic elements and distinctive vocals, they form the foundation of the King of Synthos sound.

Libertas Populi is not an album built around a single mood, either. The tracks vary in both subject matter and character, ranging from darker, more serious moments and social satire to songs that deliberately embrace exaggeration and tongue-in-cheek humour.

Libertas Populi

The album's title can be translated as Freedom of the People. On the record, however, freedom is explored not only as a political or social concept, but also as a personal one: the freedom to make your own decisions, reject the expectations of others, speak uncomfortable truths and take responsibility for your choices.

Rather than presenting listeners with one definitive point of view, the album approaches its themes from different angles. Sometimes, instead of providing an answer, the songs deliberately leave the listener with a question.

Libertas Populi will be released on October 31, 2026, across major streaming platforms. The day before its release, on October 30, King of Synthos will perform at Halloween Rock Night at Randal in Bratislava. The album is being released under Discomort Studios.
