KD Barikadníků: Christmas Metal Ride

Do you like classics? Then definitely don't miss "Rock Christmas at Barče"!

This year's menu offers: ALEŠ BRICHTA PROJECT, TURBO, TRAFFIC TROUBLE!!

"Rock Christmas at Barče", this year planned for Saturday, December 20, has been a big Christmas party for singer Aleš Brichta for more than three decades. This year, they will have a real classic on the program in the following order: ALEŠ BRICHTA PROJECT, TURBO, TRAFFIC TROUBLE.

"Barča" is thus returning to its roots, when in the late 80s the "Kulturní dům Barikádníků" in Prague 10, or "Barča", was a real bastion of rock in what was then Czechoslovakia.

The choice of bands for this year's party is definitely not accidental:

TRAFFIC TROUBLE:
They are a young Prague hard rock band. Some say they are just crazy, but at least they are careful not to have any Girl with Pearls in Her Hair in their band. That would be just big losses and no gains. "We are a group of young guys who don't want to just "play a set", but leave everything on stage. We focus on honest guitar sound, strong riffs and on making a hard song not just about moshpit. We will bring our own creations and a few gems that we grew up on to Barča."

TURBO
The project of this pop-rock band began to be born in 1980 in the head of lyricist and manager Lád Vostárek. The huge success of the hit "Chtěl jsem mít" pushed the guys to 3rd place in the 1985 Zlatý slavík, two years later a platinum SP was released by Supraphon, the single: "Hráč/Komu se nelení". These successes, and perhaps also the songs "Vodopád zástných slov" and the legendary "Láska z pasáží" catapulted the band to 2nd place in the 1988 Golden Nightingale. The story of the band TURBO would simply be a novel, the band set off on a big TOUR 2025 across Czechoslovakia in March 2025, with more than 70 stops, and one of them is "Aleš Brichta's Christmas Barča", which not only connects Jirka Lang, but also the entire TURBO in the current lineup: Jiří Lang, Petr "Bob" Šťastný, Radek Zíka, Miloslav Orcígr and Karel Mecner, and at this year's Barča, Turbo will also have an imaginary cherry on the cake for fans, namely a new single with Tommy Thayer from the legendary KISS. "I See Love Here", composed and produced by Thayer himself, and of course the Czech lyrics were written by Láda Vostárek

Aleš Brichta Project

… there is no need to introduce or mention that the band will traditionally close the party. The most prominent hits will be played, but there will certainly be no shortage of famous songs that thundered through Barča more than thirty years ago…
