Jiří Rain (CITRON, SEBASTIEN) is embarking on a solo career. With the single Prázdná náruč, he announces his first solo album, the surprisingly acoustic Acoustica I.

The album Acoustica I will present Jiří Rain, known for his high-energy performances with the legendary CITRON, in a different, more contemplative and romantic light. As the lead single suggests, the album will focus on human relationships and social issues. Throughout the record, the artist raises questions and tells stories that also touch several times on the relationship between God and man, often with a strong sense of urgency.

The single Prázdná náruč deals with the boundary between life and death: "This song was inspired by one of the darker aspects of our times, when many people suffer from depression and other mental health problems. These are often young girls and boys who are otherwise perfectly healthy physically. I imagined the weight of a situation in which we lose someone who feels so misunderstood and desperate that depression drives them to take their own life. Should I have listened more carefully? Could I have done more? We all need to feel the love of those closest to us. Sometimes, however, we live alongside each other rather than together. I tried to show how important and magical ordinary human bonds are, and how devastating the consequences can be when those bonds are broken. Sometimes even a simple smile can heal more than an army of psychologists," says songwriter and composer Jirka Rain.

Acoustica I is the first solo release by singer and guitarist Jiří Rain, who is also the brand-new frontman of the legendary CITRON. He is also known for his time with another Czech legend, KREYSON, his own bands SEBASTIEN and NAVAR, projects such as LÁĎA KŘÍŽEK AKUSTICKY and ERAZIM, and his work at ROCKOPERA PRAHA, where he alternates with stars of the Czech rock scene such as Kamil Střihavka, Viktor Dyk, and Jan Toužimský. Over more than a quarter of a century in music, he has collaborated with renowned musicians and producers from around the world, completed two European tours, and contributed to numerous musical works released both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
