Ivanovice experienced a proper rock night with Ingott and Dark Gamballe

Calm between the holidays? Not a chance. On December 27, the Cultural House in Ivanovice na Hané hosted an event called Rockové Vánoce (Rock Christmas). Doors opened at 6:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM the stage was taken over by the bands Ingott and Dark Gamballe.
The evening was kicked off by the heavy metal band Ingott, which was formed back in 1987 in Karviná. From the very beginning, the band has featured singer and guitarist Jiří Šperl, a former member of Citron and Limetall. Sadly, the band was recently struck by a tragic loss — on November 3, 2025, bassist Aleš Venglář passed away unexpectedly, and Ingott are currently performing as a trio. Despite this, the band delivered a very energetic performance. Although the turnout was smaller, the atmosphere was good and Ingott managed to get the audience moving properly. It was my first time hearing the band live, and they pleasantly surprised me — they were really loud and convincing.
Around 9:30 PM, Dark Gamballe, formerly known as Dark, took the stage as the second and final band of the night. Formed in 1990, the band has never aimed for mass popularity, yet over the years they have built a strong and loyal fan base. Their music is characterized by deep lyrics and an emphasis on authenticity, which makes them a distinctive phenomenon on the Czech alternative metal scene. In 2025 alone, they performed several times at the Masters of Rock festival in Vizovice.
More fans arrived for Dark Gamballe than for Ingott, and the atmosphere was excellent. People were jumping, dancing, and clearly enjoying the concert. At the beginning, singer Jiří "Desed" Sedláček admitted that he was battling a cold and that singing would be demanding for him. Because of this, the band considered skipping some songs. Nevertheless, with the help of the fans and plenty of fluids, he managed the show successfully. The performance was very strong. Desed also mentioned that he had never had the opportunity to perform at the Ivanovice Cultural House before, but the local audience pleasantly surprised him.
Songs such as Běh na dlouhou trať, Tam dole pod kanálem, as well as tracks from the latest album Dobrý lhář and Špatné věci were played. There was also a drum solo by Mickey, who has been a member of the band for about a year. As an encore, the song Oni was performed, bringing the evening to a powerful close. After the concert, the band took photos with fans.
