Instead of a campfire, a proper rock cauldron: Čáry Fest invites you to a magical night and a packed line-up

Everyone imagines Walpurgis Night a little differently. Some picture a traditional, peaceful gathering around a small bonfire with children playing nearby in costumes. But if you belong to those who want a real fire to ignite in their chest on this night—sparked by great live music—pay attention. The fourth edition of Čáry Fest will take place at the football stadium in Chotětov on April 30.
The entire event is organized by the experienced team behind Valečovské léto, who are also responsible for the popular Bolka Fest. They know exactly how to create a well-run event, so quality facilities and a great atmosphere are guaranteed in advance. This year's line-up on the Chotětov field will offer a richly varied witch-themed mix connecting solid Czech rock with untamed festival energy.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, several well-known names will take the stage with one goal—to ignite the audience's energy and give this night a truly fiery charge. The band Komunál from Chlumec will bring their share of more poetic rock-metal melancholy. This long-standing presence on the Czech scene is currently on tour, but they simply cannot miss Čáry Fest.
A properly wild party will be delivered by Walda Gang. There is no need for discussion here—during their set, the only thing to do is switch off your mind, grab a beer, and let yourself be carried away by the energy of their well-known hits that almost every rocker knows. These songs and the band's show are a guaranteed recipe to make sure no fan stays sitting aside. Olga Lounová will arrive to prove that a rock stage can easily accommodate a more mainstream touch as well. She has already confirmed at many summer events that she brings along a tightly performing band and a show with real drive capable of getting even devoted rock fans moving. This year's program also includes a reliable regional big beat act, WIX L. Odháněl, a guarantee of honest guitar craftsmanship for the local audience.
The role of the main attraction and headliner this year is taken by one of the leading bands of the Czech rock scene – Traktor. From a band that once played the role of support act, they have in recent years grown into a machine that confidently sells out large venues. They will bring a massive sound, a refined visual show, and choruses that currently make them one of the most sought-after rock bands in the country. As the culmination of the Walpurgis Night celebration, they are a perfect choice.
So if you want to celebrate the arrival of spring this year with proper music, you know where to go.
