Hubertka Winter Attack 2 – an evening that brought together diverse rock under one roof

This year's Hubertka Winter Attack confirmed that even a small mini-festival can offer a diverse cross-section of the Czech rock scene. The club was full shortly after opening and it was clear from the first band that the audience arrived expecting an evening in which different genres, generations and musical energies would mix.
Sukulent Sound – an unexpected mix that works
The first to perform was Sukulent Sound, a band known for not being afraid to combine seemingly incompatible things. Reggae, rap and punk blended naturally in their performance, and the result was rhythmic, danceable and surprisingly compact music. The audience reacted quickly to their set – during the first songs, the space under the stage was filled and people were swept away by the relaxed atmosphere. The band focused on their most famous songs, which were able to make even the most ardent observers dance. Sukulent Sound confirmed that even a genre experiment can have a clear shape when the chemistry between the members and the audience works.
BYT číslo 4 – harder sound, slower start, but quick takeover
After the first stage rearrangement, it was BYT číslo 4's turn, who this time brought their own sound engineer. The technical break was a bit longer, but the audience waited patiently. As soon as the first guitar notes sounded, it was clear that the tension had paid off. The band offered a rawer rock sound and a more energetic tempo. Even though the singing was not perfectly legible in places, the fans complemented it almost in unison. BYT number 4 thus regained the attention of the entire hall within a few minutes, and their set was one of those that many visitors will certainly rate as a pleasant surprise of the evening.
POST-iT – professional certainty and a set that raised the bar
Third in line were POST-iT, a band that has a long history on the Czech scene and its performance clearly confirmed this. The club filled up even more and the entire audience reacted to the first notes. The set was built on a combination of newer and proven songs, including the popular Co tě neposílí, to tě zabije. The musicians' experience was evident - their work with the audience was confident, balanced and energetic. The band managed to maintain the dynamics of the entire performance without any dead spots. POST-iT thus delivered a professional performance that noticeably increased the pace of the evening.
Imodium – a club regular that knows how to entertain an audience
The next performer, Imodium, has long been one of the most famous Czech rock club bands. Their presence on the program naturally attracted even more listeners. The band confirmed its reputation as a regular that can offer a technically clean and energetic concert. Frontman Tomáš had already captivated the audience earlier when he cut a duet with Czenda from POST-iT in the previous set, and his commitment continued throughout Imodium's entire performance. The audience's reception was unequivocal - Imodium still manages to captivate and hold attention regardless of the club or the size of the stage.
Mr. Dynaboom – a raw energy conclusion
The last band to perform was Mr. Dynaboom, who is also behind the creation of the entire Hubertka Winter Attack. Although they only started around half past one in the morning, the audience persevered in large numbers. Visitors, whether strengthened by beer or completely sober, gathered again at the stage. Mr. Dynaboom offered a powerful, rhythmically distinctive set that concluded the entire evening. Their concert was built on intense contact with the audience and raw sound, which closed the festival at a high pace. The band made it clear why they initiated the entire event – their music can unite audiences of different musical preferences.
In conclusion
Hubertka Winter Attack 2 brought a diverse mix of rock subgenres and performances by bands that were able to draw the audience in from the first notes to the end long after midnight. The event confirmed that even a chamber festival can offer a strong musical experience and create an atmosphere that visitors will remember for a long time.
