Hradišťská Slaughterhouse Under the Influence of Vincentka: Cocotte Minute tore the heart out of Club Mír

Returns after five years tend to be either triumphant or fought for with blood and sweat. Friday's stop at Club Mír in Uherské Hradiště was a bit of both. The legendary nu-metal crew Cocotte Minute stormed in with their trademark energy, but right from the start it was clear this wouldn't be just another routine notch on the belt. The club pulsed with the energy of fans who formed an impenetrable wall of bodies and an uncompromising mosh pit where pure metal joy was brewing.
Šanson Brut: Dark Poetry with Piano
The evening opened with the project Šanson Brut, bringing an atmosphere of a decadent gathering for the chosen few into Club Mír. No cheap pub vibes here—this was raw, honest art. Behind the piano sat Ema Pilařová, whose playing added an unexpected, almost cinematic depth to Zeller's performance. It was an emotional assault where metal aggression transformed into a chilling delivery. Songs like Měl bych tě sejmout or the hypnotic Víla revealed their darkest essence in this form, and the audience watched this unusual combination with complete focus.
Cocotte Minute: Fighting for Every Word and an Uncompromising Setlist
When Cocotte Minute themselves took the stage at full force, the mood in the club instantly intensified. From the very first notes, however, it was clear that frontman Martin Zeller was battling an enemy within — his own vocal cords. He wasn't feeling his best, and the constant rinsing of his throat with Vincentka between songs made it obvious that this concert would come at the cost of enormous effort.
Despite the vocal issues, the band didn't ease off the gas — or the fans. The setlist was built as a ruthless cross-section of their discography. From the opening tracks like Černý šaty and Srdce, the band went all in. When the hall thundered with Czeko or the crushing Bastard, it was clear that even a struggling voice wouldn't stop this machine. Zeller once again proved he's one of the best frontmen on the Czech scene—even while his body was betraying him, he pushed through with dedication that the crowd rewarded with loud support.
The climax came in the final stretch, where through Můj čas and Lodě they clawed their way to the closing blast of 123 vpřed. Uherské Hradiště didn't witness a sterile show but a raw battle for the result. It wasn't technically perfect, the venue wasn't sold out, but it was brutally honest and metal to the bone. Respect to Zeller for not giving up despite the problems.
Great respect and thanks go to the entire band for staying on stage and delivering a full-blooded set despite bad luck and health issues. Thanks also go to the team at Klub Mír for the excellent service and especially to all of you who showed up to support this legend in his fight to keep singing. Uherské Hradiště didn't disappoint and proved that the metal community stands together, even when things get tough (or when the throat gives out).
