15/09/2026

The Chorus? Stronger. R'n'B? Even More Soul. And Age? The Slíže Don't Give a Damn! The legendary Slovak punk rock band Horkýže Slíže are celebrating 35 years on the scene. They will mark this extraordinarily wild milestone with the biggest concert in the band's history, prepared together with the team behind the Rock for People festival, on November 26, 2027, at Prague's O2 arena"People kept asking us when we were finally going to do the O2 arena, so we gave in to the pressure, checked the calendar and decided that 35 is the perfect age to finally tear the place down," says frontman Peter Hrivňák, aka Kuko. A spectacular show is in the works, complete with special guests. Fans will have to wait a little longer to find out exactly who will join them, but one thing is certain – it's going to be huge. An exclusive presale starts September 10 at 10:00 AM, with registration required. Public ticket sales begin September 11 at 10:00 AM via RFP Concerts

Horkýže Slíže and the Rock for People festival have been inseparable for almost 20 years. The band first played Rock for People in 2007 and has been right at home there ever since. "When we invited Slíže to Rock for People for the first time in 2007, it never occurred to us that they would eventually build a second living room in our festival grounds. Even back then, though, it was clear that this chemistry was something special," says Michal Thomes, founder of Rock for People. The band have delivered several great shows at the festival, and every subsequent Slíže appearance has become an unforgettable experience for fans and festival-goers alike. "Over the years, we've all been through so many crazy things together that bringing Horkýže Slíže and RfP to the O2 arena feels like the logical culmination of one very long party," adds band manager and Rock for People co-founder Petr Fořt. Joining forces for this once-in-a-lifetime concert makes perfect sense, and the two sides are inviting fans to the O2 arena for an unforgettable night.

The band's story began in Nitra, Slovakia, in 1992, when Peter Hrivňák – Kuko (vocals, bass), Mário Sabo – Saboter (guitar) and Martin Košovan – Košo (drums) formed a band under the name Horkýže Slíže. Since then, they have performed not only in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, but also in the United States, Ireland, England and Italy. In 2012, they launched their own festival, Slížovica. Today, Horkýže Slíže perform as Peter Hrivňák – Kuko (vocals), Mário Sabo – Saboter (guitar), Juraj Štefánik – Doktor (guitar), Marek Viršík – Jean Claude Vandel (drums) and Veronika Smetanová (bass).

Throughout their career, the band have never lost their distinctive sense of wordplay, larger-than-life humour, parody and provocation. Slíže have played more than 2,000 shows, released 15 albums and two books, and racked up more than 100 million YouTube views. A few years ago, they were also voted the second most popular Slovak band in the Czech Český Slavík poll. Hits such as Malá Žužu, Silný refrén, Nazdar!!!, R'n'B Soul and A já sprostá have long since become legendary, their timeless appeal bringing together entire families and generations.
