Hell Will Break Loose in Holýšov. Pekelný Ostrov Brings Royal Republic and the Best of Czech Rock
The first weekend of July will see Hell unleashed in Western Bohemia! The town of Holýšov will once again host the 13th edition of the summer festival Pekelný Ostrov. As always, the event will take place on the natural "island" by the Holýšov Mill, nestled alongside the banks of the Radbuza River.
One of the festival's long-standing traditions is combining some of the biggest names in Czech rock with a standout international act, and this year is no exception. Festival-goers can look forward to Swedish rock powerhouse Royal Republic taking over the stage. Joining them will be a packed lineup featuring Rybičky 48, Dymytry, Divokej Bill, Škwor, Harlej, Tři sestry, Walda Gang, Doga, and many more.
This year's edition will also introduce several new features, the biggest being the dedicated Skutečná Liga Stage. Skutečná Liga is the Czech Republic's largest live-band competition, focused on discovering, supporting, and promoting emerging talent. The stage will showcase some of the most successful bands in the competition's history, including Wotazník, Year of Pluto, VOSOLIT!, and Schweine in žito.
And one final tip before you head into the pit: the festival has been running on the NFCtron cashless system for quite some time now.
