HATEBREED RETURN AT FULL FORCE. FATAL PARADOX DELIVERS ELEVEN TRACKS OF PURE HARDCORE FURY

Six years of waiting are coming to an end. American hardcore legends HATEBREED return with a new studio album, Fatal Paradox, set for release on November 6, 2026 through BLKIIBLK, the metal label under Frontiers Label Group. It will be the band's ninth full length record and their first studio album since Weight of the False Self in 2020. If the material released so far is any indication, this will not be a cautious return. HATEBREED are once again relying on pressure, rage, massive riffs, breakdowns and the energy that has defined them for decades.

The new record was produced by longtime collaborator Chris "Zeuss" Harris, who has worked with HATEBREED in the past and whose credits also include artists such as Rob Zombie, Accept and Shadows Fall. Fatal Paradox is therefore not an attempt to dismantle the band's identity. Instead, it aims to demonstrate why their combination of hardcore and metal has become so influential over the past three decades.

One of the first major previews from the album was Kill Count Increase. The track opens the record and Jamey Jasta described it as a direct representation of what the new album is about. It is fast, heavy and immediately gets to the point. There is no drawn out introduction, only an attack built on accelerating momentum, crushing riffs and the kind of energy that has one obvious purpose in a live setting, to unleash chaos in front of the stage.

Another essential preview is the title track Fatal Paradox, released by the band in August. Once again, HATEBREED do not overcomplicate things. A heavy groove, crushing guitars and a prominent breakdown form the backbone of the song, while the lyrics deal with conflict, manipulation, fear, loss of freedom and contradictions that force people to choose sides even when no simple answer exists.

The album will also feature Make the Demons Obey, which was originally released in 2025 and now takes its place on the complete tracklist. Alongside it, the record includes The Carrion Choir, Decisions Become Destinies, Total Invincible, Still a Threat, Truth Is a Lion and None Left to Save. Altogether, Fatal Paradox contains eleven tracks.

One of the most intriguing moments on the tracklist is Sacrifice Season, featuring John Tardy, the unmistakable frontman of death metal veterans OBITUARY. The combination of his vocals with Jamey Jasta's characteristic delivery promises one of the heaviest moments on the entire record, while also bringing together two names that have made a major impact on extreme music from different directions.

The album closes with Poison Planet. This is not an original HATEBREED composition, but a cover of American band CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. The original song comes from their early hardcore period, and its inclusion on Fatal Paradox also makes sense as a reminder of the roots from which the music of HATEBREED grew.

The new album arrives almost thirty five years after the formation of the band. HATEBREED have helped shape the sound of modern metallic hardcore throughout their career, and their influence can be heard across hardcore, metalcore and extreme metal. Records such as Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, Perseverance and The Rise of Brutality became essential landmarks in their discography, while the band's songs remain a reliable trigger for absolute mayhem at live shows.

That makes the six year gap between studio albums particularly significant. Weight of the False Self arrived in November 2020, and although HATEBREED never stopped touring, fans have had to wait for another complete studio record. Fatal Paradox now promises to present the band in the form they know best, without unnecessary decoration and with a clear focus on direct power.

The material released so far certainly does not sound like an attempt to chase current trends. Instead, HATEBREED build on the elements they have transformed into their own musical language over the years. Thrash influenced riffs, hardcore aggression, groove, breakdowns and Jasta's voice once again come together in material designed to work just as effectively through speakers as it does in front of a raging live crowd.

After almost thirty five years on the scene, HATEBREED certainly do not look like a band ready to retreat into the safety of their own past. Fatal Paradox marks their return after six years, but nothing about it suggests a tired comeback. Everything released so far points towards an album determined to remind listeners of one simple fact, when HATEBREED strike at full force, very few bands can combine hardcore fury and metallic weight with the same natural authority.
