GHØSTKID Invite Us Down the Rabbit Hole: New Album Follow The White Rabbit Opens the Dark Corners of the Mind

German metalcore and alternative metal outfit GHØSTKID have released a new album. Although they have only been active since 2020, they have already made a strong name for themselves, including here in the Czech Republic. The band was founded by vocalist Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler after his departure from the popular formation Electric Callboy, then still known as Eskimo Callboy.
Their new and already third studio album was released on 2 October 2026 via renowned German label Century Media Records and is titled Follow The White Rabbit. The album can be purchased via the band's official website on CD, vinyl, as a limited pink LP, or as part of a bundle with a T-shirt or hoodie. It is also available to stream on Spotify.
Sebastian conceived the album as a deeply personal and introspective confession exploring his own inner world and the human psyche. Both visually and lyrically, it references Lewis Carroll's famous story of Alice, but in a much more twisted and brutal form, as the album is more directly inspired by the dark video game American McGee's Alice. Falling down the rabbit hole serves here as a metaphor for sinking to the very bottom of one's own mind.
The creation of the album was strongly influenced by major changes that preceded it, including changes in the line-up and the band's direction, as well as developments in the vocalist's personal life. The lyrics therefore draw heavily from his inner world and deal with themes such as mental health, inner conflicts, anxiety and the insomnia that follows. The album is built around metalcore riffs, which strongly contrast with more melodic passages featuring elements of electronics and industrial music. It marks both a musical and thematic shift for GHØSTKID, representing the beginning of a new era for the band.
The band were originally set to present the album on a subsequent autumn tour, but due to Sushi's mental exhaustion, the tour was postponed until spring 2027. As part of the rescheduled dates, GHØSTKID will also stop in the Czech Republic on 11 April 2027 at Prague's Bike Jesus club. Tickets are available via Ticketportal or GoOut.
So, will you dive down the rabbit hole with this metalcore outfit?
