Footfest in Želeč is preparing the strongest edition in its history. It adds a fourth stage, a rich programme and a record-breaking line-up

09/07/2026

This year, Footfest in Želeč will offer the most extensive programme in its history. The festival, which has moved significantly forward in recent years under the leadership of a new organising team, promises four music stages, 44 performers, a football tournament, a varied gastro zone, a programme for children and comfortable facilities for the whole family.

Last year's edition of Footfest was the second under the direction of the new organising team and, according to visitors' feedback, it was very successful. The organisers have therefore decided to keep what worked well and, at the same time, move the festival forward once again. Following the success of last year's Ferris wheel, this year visitors can look forward above all to a brand-new, fourth music stage.

The first two stages will belong to the biggest names in this year's line-up, the third stage will present the finalists of the Footfest Contest, and the fourth will be dedicated to dance music. The dance stage will feature DJs, LED screens, jungle-style decorations and other visual elements designed to give the festival atmosphere a whole new dimension.

This year's line-up is the strongest in the history of Footfest. A total of 44 performers across various music genres will appear on four stages. Visitors can look forward to acts such as Dymytry, Tři sestry, Ben Cristovao, Harlej, Olympic, Pokáč, Walda Gang, Panoptiko, Renne Dang, Láďa Křížek & Kreyson and many others.

Emerging bands will also receive plenty of space. A total of 104 bands entered this year's Footfest Contest, from which an expert jury selected eight finalists. They will get the chance to perform in front of thousands of visitors on a dedicated festival stage. For fans, this will be a great opportunity to discover new musical talents who may become major names on the Czech scene in the future.

The festival also focuses on visitor comfort. The organisers have expanded the site, prepared two new car parks and, in total, four parking areas will be available. There will also be a camping area with full facilities, toilets, showers, security and refreshments, including breakfast.

Gastronomy will be another strong point of Footfest. The festival grounds will offer more than thirty street food stands with a varied selection of dishes from the Czech Republic and abroad. Visitors can look forward to burgers, pizza, BBQ specialities, Greek gyros, Mexican and Asian cuisine, traditional Czech dishes, vegetarian meals and sweet treats.

Footfest also prides itself on good cooperation with the municipality of Želeč, local associations and residents. The municipality, Reprogen, the manager of the sports complex, volunteer firefighters, medical staff, security services, organisers and dozens of other people are all involved in preparing the festival. The organisers emphasise that without the support of the local community, an event like this could not take place.

Alongside music, the sports and family programme remains an important part of the festival. On Saturday from 8 a.m., the traditional football tournament for the Želeč Cup will begin, with twelve teams from different parts of the Czech Republic taking part this year. Matches will be played simultaneously on two pitches.

Inflatable attractions and sensory play activities will be prepared for children throughout the festival. On Friday afternoon, visitors can look forward to a children's dance party with Monika Průšová, the well-known parkour athlete and YouTuber Jay Fox, as well as concerts by Pokáč and Ben Cristovao. The festival grounds will open on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and the children's programme will begin at 2 p.m. Children under the age of seven have free admission, as do holders of ZTP and ZTP/P disability cards. Discounted children's, family and senior tickets will also be available.

Footfest wants to distinguish itself from large commercial festivals primarily through its atmosphere. It is built on a personal approach, fair prices, a friendly environment and a programme for all generations. The combination of music, football, a children's programme, good food, beer specialities and a relaxed setting makes Footfest an event that appeals not only to rock fans, but also to families with children and visitors who want to enjoy a summer festival weekend without unnecessary stress.

This year's edition therefore promises to be the biggest Footfest so far. It is well worth arriving in Želeč early, in a good mood and ready to enjoy the varied programme to the fullest.
