Stage Bound Pilsen: One evening, four bands and raw energy

This year's first year of the Stage Bound festival started on September 5, 2025 at the Prague Rock Café - the bands Syncopation, The Switch, .themayrevolution and rockers The Agony played there.

But in the end, this club festival of up-and-coming bands moved to Pilsen on Friday, September 19, 2025, to the local club Divadlo Pod Lampou.

The whole evening started around seven o'clock with the Central Bohemian hard rock band Syncopation, the only band that also played at the Prague Rock Café. This is also because the band is part of the organizers of this great event. They warmed up the first arrivals, the dark lights emphasized their costumes - lab coats even more. When their first official single Point of No Return was played, it took me inside to some Frankenstein's laboratory. It was clear that, although unfortunately the attendance was not great, they knew how to work with the audience, who completely won them over. They said goodbye with the song Whipped Cream.



Then the local Koby Fray, who are not completely unfamiliar with the Divadlo pod Lampou space, appeared on stage. Their performance has a predominantly depressive feel, which is also matched by the very dark lighting, which fine-tunes the atmosphere. They sing mainly in English, but a few Czech songs were also performed, for example the new song Dítě noci. However, there was also one more cheerful song - Rock´n´roll show. And at the end they performed the song Prison Cell, for which they recently made a video clip.

Next, the unknown heavy metal band Arzzen played. Unlike the previous ones, they have a repertoire in Czech, and they often sing about things around us. When they came on stage, no one could sit still, their strong energy simply forced you to move and shake to the rhythm. They started the performance with the single Neber mi křídla, and there was also the song Horizont změny from their debut album of the same name, or a completely new one – Neděje se nic.

Finally, the stage got dark and Pan Lynx and his band came on. This is the musical alter ego of musician and music producer "Michal Skořepy," who is very open, letting us into his inner self. The lyrics are very much tied to self-discovery, his inner self, and are full of metaphors. The red lights contribute greatly to this, creating an intimate atmosphere (which I don't envy us photographers). He started the whole set with an intro and the song Cililynx, followed by, for example, the title song of his album Kdo se bojí musí do lesa, Na dně postele, Paper Song (from his former band Stroy) or Výlety do Temnoty. As an encore, they played the song Cililynx, which they started with.

The event was great, I'm already looking forward to next year and what unknown bands they will introduce me to.
