Pilsen in captivity of riffs: this was Himlhergotfest 2025

On the first Saturday in September, Gentleman Trautenberk himself once again honored us with a visit to Pilsen. He organized the 3rd annual HimlHergotFest festival in the Plzeň Plaza Amphitheater – a festival where wild boar goulash was served, Bavarian sausages were eaten, and a special beer was tapped – Himlák 12 (which, among other things, some members of this dance-metal group tried out in person).

The festival gates opened at one o'clock in the afternoon, and an hour later the music program began - this year the band Civilní Obrana from Čáslav. They are not newcomers to the festival, they started the first year of this event here. It was a bit of a shame that they started their set at such an early hour, but on the other hand, there was no other way - after the performance, they had to travel to Brno, where they were supposed to play a second concert. They played all the older well-known songs such as Tereza, Opilá princezna, Holku pevnou mít, S Tvojí mámou or Drinky mi podávejte řetězem, and the latest Vlasta was also present. We also received an invitation to the Pilsen concert of their tour, which they are preparing as part of the release of their new album. So don't forget to visit the local Buena Vista club on November 21, 2025, where I am of course also headed.

Civilka was then replaced by the Brno rock-metal band Morčata na útěku. They started the concert covered in black cloaks, which they gradually took off. Although they also performed in the early afternoon, the fans were not afraid of anything and partied with them from the very beginning. We learned a lot of interesting things - for example, "Bych blil," "Můj brácha má prima ségru," "Paní v kundě má žově" and "Vladislav se vrací z kalba." In addition, we all reminisced about our childhood with a parody of Kakala (based on Plakala by Divoký Bill), or Hledali Dědu (based on the local Mandrage and their Hledá se žena). They ended the set with the werewolf Twajlajt.

After Morčate, Dymytry, led by Noid, prepared. The energy from the band was radiating even before the band sheet fell and revealed the musicians. Musically, they focused mainly on newer works - for example, Digitální tráva, Zítřek nám nikdo neslíbí or Adieu were heard, there were also a few older songs sung in the original version with Protheus - Strážná věž, Chernobyl or Ocelová parta. We also cannot forget Miloš Meier's great drum solo. We could enjoy the song Žít svůj sen, which they traditionally sing with a piano, in a purely acoustic version - however, the fans didn't care that the piano didn't cooperate. And if you haven't had enough of Dymytry yet, you can come to Pilsen's DEPA2015, where the band will perform on November 14, 2025 as part of their indoor V Dobrým i zlým Tour.

During the preparation of the "Secret Guest" program, his own autograph session was held next to Jemnostpán's merch stand. The entire Trautenberk band sat at a long table, greeted and took pictures with fans and signed everything from caps and T-shirts to hands and women's necklines and buttocks.

The secret guest was revealed, which did not surprise many people in the end. During the afternoon, I noticed Fanánek walking through the crowd, so it made sense that the guest would be none other than the Prague group Tři sestry. This connection was expected because together with the Trautenberk band, they are going on the autumn tour "Hory volají," which will have about ten stops and will culminate on December 20th in Prague's O2 Arena. The repertoire included Homosexuál, Pijánovka, Mexiko or Svatá Petra. During the entire performance, not only Zelená supplied the fans with plenty of shots. They said goodbye with the classic Prayer for the Group and throwing their T-shirts into the crowd.

And the highlight of the evening came – Krakonoš himself arrived in front of the green busty sail, a jay sang… behind the sail was the entrance to Trautenberg's estate – in addition to the aesthetic backdrop of the Krkonoše nature and a few tree stumps, we could also see, for example, latrine on the stage. The members of this dance-metal group were already standing among them. The band played popular hits such as Pyroman Roman, Pan Pilous, Vzpoura Kanců, Hory volají or Anička. In addition, the song Král Šumavy was played, which the Three Sisters came to sing with them. This was followed by the division of the fans into the right and left sides – they started fighting each other to prove which side had the upper hand and was the better one. They said goodbye in style, coming to bow to the song Hajný je lesa pán.

I would like to thank the bands for their great performance and the energy they put into it. It was great! A big thank you also to you, the visitors, for coming, creating a great atmosphere and supporting the event. It wouldn't have been possible without you. And last but not least, thanks to everyone who participated in the organization, sound engineers, technicians, bartenders, organizers, we appreciate what you do for the event. The event was great, the program was exhaustive. We are already looking forward to what the next, 4th year of this festival will bring. It will take place at the same location on September 5, 2026 and tickets are already on sale at goout.
