Easter Rock Blast in Králíky: Letní parket Výrava Kicked Off the Rock Spring

07/04/2026

When you hear "April," most people think of unpredictable weather and colorful Easter eggs. But for fans of heavier music genres, this month carries a completely different symbol: Rock Easter. Letní parket Výrava once again proved that the tradition in Králíky near Nový Bydžov won't give way to anything—not even the whims of April weather.

April in our part of the world is always a gamble, and this year the sky over Králíky claimed its share in the form of rain. But a true rocker isn't bothered by a bit of water. When the doors of the cultural house opened at noon on April 4, it was clear we were in for a ride that would last until morning. Seven bands, one venue, and enough energy to power the entire town.

A powerful start: Debustrol and Krucipüsk in full force

The organizers didn't waste any time and kicked things off with a heavy caliber. Debustrol shattered the silence with their uncompromising thrash metal storm. It was a start "from the ground up" in the best possible sense — people quickly left the safety of their seats, and the mosh pit didn't take long to erupt. Frontman Kolins also pulled off an impressive "double shift" that day, opening the event and returning many hours later with another band to help bring it to its peak.

Without unnecessary delays, Krucipüsk took over. Their performance was absolutely solid, which made the following day's revelation—that part of the band played their set while running fevers—even more shocking. Hats off to such professionalism and dedication. The motto "the show must go on" clearly won over personal comfort, and they deserve both respect and wishes for a speedy recovery.

Show, emotions, and flying toilet paper

Alkehol delivered exactly what fans love: hit after hit that everyone knows by heart. The highlight came when a fan with an inflatable guitar joined them on stage. The band welcomed him as one of their own, creating a moment he surely won't forget. No arrogance—just pure humanity and rhythm.

Then came a visual storm. Doga is one of those bands that fans eagerly await every year when the lineup is announced—and they proved why. Their headliner status was confirmed not only by the music, but also by fire effects, the legendary flying toilet paper, and a packed dance floor. The show ended with a bizarre yet entertaining moment—a magician (or clown?) revealing his bare backside. In the Rebel Sound community, no one's too puritanical—this final touch amused rather than offended. As the saying goes: if you haven't seen Izzi's backside, you haven't truly been there.

Clash: newcomers vs. a rock icon

One of the biggest question marks for me was the newcomer Doctor Victor. Their stylistic difference was noticeable, but as someone who supports an open-minded approach, I appreciate the organizers' decision. It gives both bands and audiences the chance to explore something new —either discovering a new favorite or simply taking a break for a beer and food before the grand finale.

And that finale belonged to Harlej. As soon as the lights went out and the iconic intro began, the venue filled to capacity. Despite the physical demands of the long day, the crowd found a second (or maybe fifth) wind. Tonda Rauer gave fans an extra surprise by stepping off the stage and playing directly among them. As a photographer, I also appreciated the absence of giant inflatable props from previous years—nothing beats a clear view of the band.

A tradition that holds its ground

The night was closed by Fousatej Hat, who kept the attention of the most dedicated "last survivors" until the early morning hours.

Final thoughts

Is there anything to criticize about Rock Easter? If you accept that seven bands in one day is a serious marathon, then not really. It's a test of endurance, a celebration of music, and a prestigious event people love coming back to. Letní parket Výrava once again showed it knows how to deliver a solid production.

The 2026 season is officially underway—and we wish all organizers and fans that it will be just as powerful as this year's kickoff in Králíky!
