Dymytry and Arakain in Králíky – A Family Bond and Metal Synergy That Never Loses Its Power

When two generations of metal icons meet on one stage, the result is usually either nostalgic or explosive. In the case of the joint tour by Dymytry and Arakain titled "Neztrácíme náboj". it's clearly the latter. On Saturday, February 28, the packed cultural house in Králíky near Nový Bydžov proved exactly that, experiencing a true rock celebration even before the traditional Easter festivities begin.
Local Patriotism and Professional Organization
The announcement of a tour stop in Králíky sparked a wave of excitement around the Nový Bydžov region. For local fans, it was a rare chance to witness a show of world-class proportions literally "right behind their houses." The organizers deserve a thumbs up for their well-handled logistics and security – the hall was packed to the brim, but not at the expense of visitors' comfort.
The only minor downside was the rather thin merch selection at the stands. The success of the previous tour stops had taken its toll, and some fans (myself included) left empty-handed because their dream items disappeared before the bands even struck their first chords. Well… first come, first served – or simply lucky.
A Shared Start and Arakain Classics
The concept of the evening relied on unity. No "opening act and headliner," but a joint entrance of both bands as equals. The opening notes of the single Neztrácíme náboj immediately set the tone for the entire night – respect, collaboration, and pure joy of playing music.
The first block belonged to the legendary Arakain. Honza Toužimský once again proved that his voice is an absolute phenomenon on the Czech rock scene. There were also attendees who didn't really know Arakain before, yet within minutes they were caught in a web of precise riffs and iconic melodies. Arakain has that rare ability to win over audiences across generations, and on Saturday night it worked flawlessly.
Dymytry: Professionals in Every Space
If anyone thought that Dymytry – a band used to massive arenas and festival stages – might ease off the gas in the more intimate setting of Králíky, they were deeply mistaken. A rapid stage changeover (completed in record time) revealed the band's shiny masks and a show without a single flaw.
The band demonstrated that there's no such thing as a "small stage" for them – every fan in the hall received a full-power performance, visual effects, and the unmistakable Dymytry energy that simply doesn't let you stand still.
Moments When Time Stood Still
This report wouldn't be complete without mentioning two moments that personally defined the entire evening for me:
- The Drum Battle: A joint drum solo by the drummers of both bands was a technical masterpiece. It wasn't just a contest of who could "ventilate" their double bass pedals harder, but also a demonstration of enormous mutual respect. Pure energy flowed from the stage straight into the crowd.
- An Acoustic Family Moment: Watching father and son (Jiří Urban Sr. and Jr.) play acoustic guitars together was a moment when all the metal noise stepped aside. Anyone with a functioning inner compass and appreciation for family bonds couldn't help but smile. It was a reminder that behind the masks and heavy riffs stand real people and stories that connect us.
The joint tour of Dymytry and Arakain is still in full swing. If you get the chance, don't hesitate. This kind of charge doesn't fade away anytime soon.
