Deep Purple comes alive in Brno: female tribute band Strange Kind Of Women

Brno can look forward to an exceptional rock evening that will delight all fans of classic hard rock and the legendary music of Deep Purple. On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the hits of this British icon will resonate through Sono Centrum, performed by the European all-female tribute band Strange Kind Of Women.

The Strange Kind Of Women project was born out of a passion for Deep Purple's music and a desire to pay tribute to one of the greatest rock legends of all time. The band was founded by Italian guitarist Eliana Cargnelutti, who brought together talented musicians from Italy and France. Seven years ago, she decided to create an all-female Deep Purple tribute band – with a clear vision and a precise idea of the musicians needed to make it a reality. Thus, Strange Kind Of Women was formed in the lineup: Eliana Cargnelutti (guitar), Ronnie Grace (vocals), Paola Zadra (bass), Margherita Gruden (organ), and Chiara Cotugno (drums).

The evening will feature a cross-section of the band's entire era – from early classic albums to their greatest hits. The audience can look forward to songs such as Smoke on the Water, Child in Time, Highway Star, Strange Kind of Woman, Space Truckin', and other immortal tracks that defined the history of hard rock.
