DEBUSTROL to Celebrate 40 Years of Total Mayhem at Metalgate Czech Death Fest 2027

New Bands Announced for Czech Death Fest, with Thrash Metal and a 40th Anniversary Celebration from a Czech Legend Taking Centre Stage.

The lineup, currently headlined by Canadian legends KATAKLYSM, alongside Norwegian BLOOD RED THRONE and Stockholm supergroup FIRESPAWN, is expanding with four more bands. What they all have in common is their devotion to thrash metal. And we'll start with an absolute legend.

It won't be Slayer, but musically we're getting pretty close, as the uncompromising, raw and straightforward thrash of the genre's domestic pioneers is probably the closest thing to them. Founded in 1986 alongside the likes of ARAKAIN and ROOT, this band is one of the most significant names in Czech metal. Their uncompromising attitude, provocative image and relentless energy have made them a cult act that has influenced generations of Czech bands, including some performing at our festival. Forty years of total mayhem – DEBUSTROL!

Next up, we have Anděl Award winners EXORCIZPHOBIA. Over their 20-year existence, one of our most prominent and active bands has built a strong reputation across Europe. That's thanks not only to their fantastic music, which incorporates influences beyond thrash as its foundation, but also to their incredible dedication, technical precision and energetic live performances.

Coming from Slovakia is one of the absolute finest bands on the local scene. The fresh perspective of ACID FORCE is firmly rooted in the inspiration of the genre's golden era, but they bring a modern sound to their technically precise, relentless and energetic old-school thrash. They also add a touch of heavy metal melody and, above all, tremendous explosive energy on stage.

Last but not least are PLÁN TO KILL, featuring Argentine vocalist Javier, who add a groove element to the genre. Their music draws not only on thrash influences but also on old-school hardcore, where uncompromising metal aggression is fuelled by punk energy.

About the Festival

Czech Death Fest was founded in 2009 and has been held ever since at the Brodský Campsite. It offers festivalgoers ideal conditions for their stay: clean facilities, a traditional pub with fair prices, plenty of space for tents and caravans, swimming opportunities and direct contact with nature just a few steps away from the main stage.
