COLOSALIST Head to Vinyl: “Two Suns” to Be Released in a Limited Edition of 250 Copies

Petr Staněk (Petter Stanek), who has been living in Norway for many years, was the frontman of SILENT STREAM OF GODLESS ELEGY from 1995 to 2001, with whom he recorded three landmark albums in the history of the Czech doom/death metal scene.
COLOSALIST marks a return to the roots of Petter's work from the 1990s, when he was strongly inspired by the gothic and doom metal scenes. At a certain point, however, he felt the need to step beyond his own shadow and break free from the bonds of mere imitation. It was then that the albums Iron, Behind The Shadows and Themes, which at the time represented something new and personal, were created. COLOSALIST is their natural continuation — a return to that spirit, but with the perspective of years and new experience. The originally studio-based project COLOSALIST was initiated by Petter in 2013. This was followed by the release of the four-song digipak Pass Into Oblivion (2014), and last September by the first full-length studio recording, Two Suns, before the recording of which COLOSALIST became a live band featuring no fewer than three original members of SILENT STREAM OF GODLESS ELEGY.
COLOSALIST released their debut album Two Suns on CD in September 2025 through their own label, Hoggorm Music. This month, the recording will also receive a vinyl edition, released by Pařát Productions. It is "only" a black vinyl pressing, limited to 250 copies, with the kind of graphic presentation collectors have come to expect from Pařát Productions. Since this is a new album rather than a reissue, the LP also includes an inserted lyric sheet.
The LP contains all 9 tracks from the CD, only in a different running order. The LP mastering was done at Southock Recording.
A limited-time commemorative T-shirt created especially for this LP edition is also available.
