Chosen Hell? Comeback Kid Choose Their Own Hell on New Album

Canadian hardcore punk band Comeback Kid have announced their eighth studio album. It will be their first full-length release in four years, not counting a handful of standalone singles and a short EP. The new record will be released through SharpTone Records, a sister label of Nuclear Blast Records, which released the band's previous album.

Titled Chosen Hell, the album is set for release on November 6, 2026, and was created in collaboration with hardcore producer Will Putney. Vocalist Andrew Neufeld explained that Putney has supported the band since their early days, giving him a deep understanding of their vision and creative direction.

Fans can already pre-save the album on Spotify or pre-order it through SharpTone Records. Physical editions include a CD and vinyl LP available in two colour variants, with a themed T-shirt also available to add to the order.

The band have also released the title track, Chosen Hell. Andrew explains the meaning behind the song: "The theme of the title track, Chosen Hell, from our new album touches on morality and ethics. The difference between right and wrong, good and evil, healthy and unhealthy. Our ability to make a choice. Often, we're unable to choose the right thing and find ourselves in situations we know are holding us back, ultimately affecting our own well-being."

The album will also feature several guest appearances. Courtney LaPlante, vocalist of Spiritbox, appears on Shedding Season, while Yesterday's Gone features Brendan Garrone, vocalist and frontman of heavy hardcore outfit Incendiary.

As part of their Chosen Hell Euro Tour 2027, Comeback Kid will hit Prague's MeetFactory on January 27, 2027. Joining them throughout the European tour will be support acts Haywire, Whispers and Speedway. Tickets are available via GoOut.
